What is Landover's position on Laissez-Faire Capitalism?

    And Ayn Rand perhaps?

Does LBC believe that some organizations or groups of businesses should be censored?

And if so, which ones and on what grounds?

    Just wondering here.

I am not primarily an advocate of capitalism, but of egoism; and I am not primarily an advocate of egoism, but of reason. If one recognizes the supremacy of reason and applies it consistently, all the rest follows.

Very much in favor of it.

An almost godly woman. Her ideals are wonderful and something we should all take very seriously. That hell-bound hook nose Greenspan did a heckuva job with things and he was one of her accolytes.

Ones that harm the free market and capitalism like Greenpeace, the Sierra Club and Heinz Ketchup should be censored.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Let's look at the big picture, here, instead of little picky issues. Jesus did not like government regulation.

First, when Jesus kicked the money changers out of the Temple he did it himself--he did not call in the Securities and Exchange Commission.

And then there is the story of the loave and fishes. Does anyone think Jesus wanted food police there to verify refrigeration and expiration dates?
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Brother Evolution (what a strange name),

Laissez-Faire Capitalism is blessed by the Lord. Indeed, it is of such importance that it is practically a religion all by itself.

Maybe it would help you if I related my own "come to Jesus" moment. It was back around 1981, when I was a young man just starting out in life (and godly Ronald Reagan had just been elected our president). I had a job working for a collection agency, harassing people to pay their bills, repossessing cars, etc. Management with impressed with my ability to ruthlessly shake down debtors for every penny they owned (and then some). This earned me the cherished nickname "Thumbscrew." There was even a joke around the office about how everyone thought I'd sell my own grandmother to a glue factory (I never figured out how they knew about what I did to grandma).

Anyhow, at that time, there were hundreds of thousands of refugees pouring out of Cambodia due to the brutal massacres by the commie Khmer Rouge. And one particular case came to my attention, that of a Mr Samphan.

Samphan was a refugee who fled the Khmer Rouge massacres in 1977. His family was killed, but he managed to escape to Thailand, and got accepted as an immigrant to the USA. Upon arrival, he proved to be a very hard worker, putting in 18-hour days and saving all his money for the business he planned to start. By 1981, he had just barely enough for a down payment on a loan he needed to buy a piece of real estate in a commercial district of Houston, Texas. His idea was to start a video rental business. Anyway, he got the real estate loan, but needed more cash to remodel the store and buy videos.

I got wind of what he was doing, and immediately saw the potential since his property was in a rapidly developing area. Using my connections with the credit ratings agencies, I changed a few details in Samphan's file to show that he had defaulted on several loans and credit card payments. It wasn't true, but the bank didn't know that, and his loan for starting the video rental store was denied. Well, that put Samphan in desperate straits. I then used another connection with some loan sharks to offer the gook the money he needed, but at extortionist rates. Since Samphan's English wasn't great, he didn't realize what he was signing.

          Gooks negotiating loan repayment

Needless to say, Samphan couldn't make the payments and went bust. My loan shark friends got possession of his valuable real estate that had been used as collateral, and I was paid a commission for my part in arranging the whole shady deal. Shortly thereafter, Samphan committed suicide.

No doubt that Sister Ayn Rand - who was still alive then and dating hottie Alan Greenspan - approved of my clever business deal. In fact, I wrote her a letter explaining what I did, and how I had been inspired by her books. She wrote back saying that I had done well, though she thought it would have been better if the loan sharks broke all of Samphan's fingers, and then we got him deported back to Cambodia so he could have suffered even more before finally taking his life.

          Hottie Alan Greenspan

Anyway, I was just so excited to receive a letter from Sister Ayn - I knew that the Lord Jesus had silently blessed my clever business tactics, and thus I became a Christian. It also didn't hurt that being a Christian made my new business (Christ Payday Loans) a tax-free "non-profit" organization.

What should be the appropriate Christian response?

Should the government control how you tithe, or should it be your own decision how much money you give to God? If the market is not free, then the government decides for you.

            And Ayn Rand perhaps?
An atheist monster who spent her life trying to encourage people to deny God through her quite valid architectural critiques (Fountainhead) and commentary on creeping socialism (Atlas Shrugged, a perfect companion to Glenn Beck's new favorite book, Elizabeth Dilling's "The Red Network"). Sadly, Rand was unable to develop characters beyond cardboard cutouts, and hated Jesus so much she pretended He wasn't real and tried to turn her readers from Him.

Jesus, and readers who try to slog their way through the unending Atlas Shrugged, weep.

All those atheist organizations, for one! They want to turn children from God! And what about Planned Parenthood, the baby-killing factories? Their goal is to promote fornication and destroy traditional Christian marriage.
