Re: LBC 2008 Voters Guide! (work in progress)
I've been looking at all the Republican candidates now for awhile. Most are not bad - for example, it's great that all of them (except for Communists McCain and Paul) support torture. I do worry about Romney being a Mormon, but I'm sure he could be converted (it might take a little waterboarding to persuade him, but I think he'd come around). And I really like Huckabee - he would surely make our proud nation a theocracy from the day he assumes office.
However, let's be honest - only our current President Bush has the first-hand experience of waging war, torturing prisoners, warrantless wiretapping and other Constitution-shredding activities that will keep us safe from terrorists and protect our precious freedoms. Furthermore, President Bush has shown that he understands economics as well as Godly Ronald Reagan - look at the great job he has done cutting taxes and generating all the funds our military needs out of thin air by borrowing. Only someone with the blessing of the Lord could perform a miracle like that.
Therefore, the only sensible thing to do is draft President Bush for a third term. I know that the Constitution prohibits that, but hey, as our blessed leader has said himself, the Constitution is just a piece of paper.
