believer ---> agnostic ----> atheist

Gnosticism refers to knowledge. Agnostic means you don't know anything and are too timid to learn.
Theism refers to God. Atheistic means you hate God and rebel against Him.

I'm sure the millions of Doctors, Teachers, Paramedics and numerous other jobs and people, who don't believe in God would agree with me.

Being a doctor, teacher, paramedic or any other profession doesn't make a person good. Nor does it matter because God cares not what you DO, but only what you BELIEVE. (Ephesians 2:8-9) You can be a wonderful, charitable, helpful person and still roast in Hell for all eternity because you chose to spit in the loving face of Jesus who died temporarily for your many despicable sins. (John 3:18)

I'm a teacher, granted I'm not American, but I don't judge people on their beliefs, I couldn't care less if they did or didn't believe in God, as long as they are nice people and have the best interests for their children and their community at heart, I mean, isn't that what God would want?

What makes you think God wants that? Have you read the Holy Bible, friend, or are you just assuming based on what you hear from watered down religion? For your information, God wants us to go teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19) See? Nothing about being "nice" or having the "best interests for their children and their community at heart."

Going after people for what they believe in is, well, in my own very strong opinion, wrong. History is a giant indicator to that, how do you think the majorities of conflicts started?

Well, and I say this in all genteelness, why should we care about your very strong opinion? Can YOU spare us an eternity in Hell? If not, then as nice a guy as you might be, your opinion is really rather useless isn't it? After all, it's not like on Judgement Day you'll change God's mind by telling Him you thought it best to not bother people with telling them the necessity of believing in His Son.

If this does get passed, and makes its way to England, I will be fighting against it.

Get wisdom and understanding of God's Word, and don't disagree with anything that God says. He places emphasis on understanding what He is saying, also, something you've failed to do.

The first couple of lines sum up the chapter pretty well. Solomon sees human existence as nothing but a stagnant distraction from the Holy Ghost. Knowing that the life you are living is inconsequential in the grand scheme of things would probably lead you to believe that gaining this knowledge makes you more miserable, no? This leads in nicely to the next chapter you bring up.

The wisdom of the world is inconsequential in the realm of God. Only through God will you obtain wisdom. God does not want you to be dumb, God wants you to humble yourself of your worldly knowledge, and if you are to boast, boast in the Word of God, not in worldly matters. "That no flesh should glory in his presence"; "He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord"

You of all people could learn a valuable lesson from this. Whatever knowledge you seem to hold dear won't do you any good come Judgement Day. You need to find Salvation through Christ and Christ alone, everything else is a waste of time and a guarantee for damnation.
