Yes, you make excellent points. I mean, I could never support gay marriage or polygamous marriage or or marriage with farm animals or marriage involving people who have oral sex. And I know that, once you move the line, the line tends to keep moving in the direction of social "progress."

Still, the damned liberals have swindled the so-called moderate voters with their antibiblical notions of personal freedom and equal rights and healthcare for everyone, and we Republicans have to do something to fight back. I know that God doesn't want race mixing, but I can't believe that God wants us to let America elect another Democrat President, either. It's bad enough that a negro was elected on our watch. Would you want to have to explain to Jesus on Judgment Day why you let Hillary Clinton get into the Oval Office, too?

This whole situation is very depressing.

I think what we need to do is reach out and share with them that the democratic option really isn't in their best interest. Oh sure, it would be nice to expect all kinds of "bling" from the government, to have babies just to get more welfare, to hope for affordable student loans. But ultimately, what does a college education get besides a lifetime of debt?

Hubris. Some ridiculous notion that religion is simply an ancient means by which early man tried to explain the natural world. Feminists.

These things are not only bad for the individual, they're bad for the entire nation.

      If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
      2 Chronicles 7:14

What these dark skinned people need to learn is that God will not prevent tornadoes and hurricanes and earthquakes if we don't all humble ourselves before Him. Goodness, that sounds fare more affordable to me than a lifetime of student loans and an eternity of damnation.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

I don't have graduate degrees in Bible study like our pastors at LBC, but as a politican, some things in the Bibe jump out at me.

For example, in John 20:15, Jesus disguises himself as a gardner to accomplish the task at hand. So, I'm wondering, if Jesus thought it was OK to disguise himself as something other than what he was for some noble purpose, could we not do the same?

Could not we Republicans disguise ourselves as homer marriage supporters, like Jesus disguised himself as a gardner, in order to win the next election? After winning, we would not only do away with homer marriage, but with homers as well.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

That is an excellent idea. The Bible teaches us that deceiving people in order to obtain an end is justifiable. God Himself does it several times.
          2 Chronicles 18:22
          Jeremiah 4:10
          Jeremiah 20:7
          Ezekiel 14:9
          2 Thessalonians 2:11

Instead of asking ourselves "How can we change our policies to attract moderate voters" we should be asking ourselves "How should we deceive moderate and gullible voters into thinking we've changed our policies." As far as I'm concerned, if someone votes for a politician because they feel they're receive extra handouts from the taxpayers, they deserve what they get.

Doubling down on our codewords and lobbying efforts is a good place to start. The failures of Mitt Romney has also taught us that we need to be more cautious about revealing our true plan, even in a group who would probably support you. You never know when a Democrat spy is lurking in the shadows with no regard to your constitutional right to privacy.

However, there is still more work to be done. Working together with Corrections Corporation of America(privately owned prison facilities) , we can help strengthen our laws in order to get a larger percentage of our population (namely Democrats) convicted as felons by the 2016 election.

Reducing the amount of appeals required to enact a death sentence could also help. Democrats are already probably trying to get felons, child molesters, and murderers to be able to vote, but even the most liberal of judges can't get a dead person to vote. They were also proven guilty in a court of law, what more do you want? The appeals waste millions of tax payer dollars. Only people rich enough to pay for the extra court expenses out of their own pocket should be allowed to appeal.

We should also work on strengthening self-defense laws. If you see someone else openly carrying skittles or wearing a hoodie in public should be sufficient evidence that your life is in danger. So people like George Zimmerman never have to be wrongly persecuted for defending us against vile scum like Trayvon Martin. This gets Democrats out of polling areas and into the graves, defends our citizens, and helps save money on court and police costs. The savings can be used to give Democracy to ignorant Muslims by bombing them, and improve our homeland security by adding surveillance cameras inside of every home. The government could sell the information obtained from the surveillance footage to companies in order to save the government even more money, and give our citizens excellent and relevant product suggestions by caring corporations. That's what I call a win-win-win.
Close minded people are just right people who don't want to spend time arguing.

            Prayer Warrior--a thoughtful essay, indeed.

I read several times your reference, 2 Thessalonians 2:11, "And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion."

Isn't this almost a directive to us from God to deceive liberals? Again, I'm not a theologian, but I think we have to take a look at this possibility.

Could not we say out loud, "Oh, gay marriage is just fine," while whispering to God, "No, it's an abomination!"?

I love your idea Mr. Mayor, and as extra self imposed penance for my own 'marriage' I've decided to start disguising myself as a colored for the time being so that I'll at least appear to be in a proper relationship.
