  • I have spent the night in a van before and it's not that big of a deal.

In fact, I have driven my van across the country many times and I have always slept in my van. I don't know why the fake-news is making such a big deal about some kids having to spend the night in a van. That's probably better than spending the night in the desert.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

Some children just have no sense of adventure. So many kids these days think they're such special, fragile snowflakes. I blame the parents. My boys would positively relish the prospect of a night in a van, though I'd expect them to hot-wire it so you wouldn't find the van there in the morning.

The Lytton-Vasey family crest includes Philippians 4:13 : I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Back when I was still a sinful catholick, I worked with a friend who made leather goods (key fobs, belts, wallets, etc) at various flea markets throughout the eastern US. On one such trip, he and his wife went to Pennsylvania and Maryland and invited me to go along. We all three slept in his van. Me on the floor, those two on a cot in the back. It was hot, uncomfortable, but very safe and even a little fun. We stopped at state parks for showers. God provided us with $20 that we found on the ground at one of the flea markets.

I would sleep in a van again without complaining. I am fearful for my fellow millennials who think it would be beneath them to do so.
      Proverbs 21:31 KJV 1611:
“The horse is prepared against the day of battell: but safetie is of the Lord.”

Lord, may I serve my equine brothers and sisters just as I do my fellow man.
      Amen and Amen

There once was a man who attended my church. He was a very outspoken fellow. His name was Matt F. He never complained about himself much. He always made it sound as though he was content living in a van he mostly had parked by the river in town. He wasn’t ashamed. He’s let everyone know. With that said, he would always push for people to do better even if they were a doctor or a CEO of a big company. He’d say something along the lines of “if you don’t get motivated, you’ll live in a van down by the river” or something like that. I could never understand why he never became a deacon or a pastor. His loud directness would definitely have made him an effective televangelist. Nobody’s heard from him lately though. I wonder if he still lives in that van. Now that I think about it, he was really chunky. I wonder if he still lives in that van

        Him attending a church potluck.

Oh goodness look at me ramble on. That said, living in a van is nothing to be ashamed about whether it’s in a Walmart parking lot or down by the river.
My name is Maxine Levantine. I am 17 and follow the KJV Bible to a T. If you are wanting to hit on me you can turn away. THIS is reserved for Jesus and my future husband (whoever that may be).

It's the goal of one group I've read about to live in their vans. They have gatherings, pot lucks and sing alongs. They can park their vans in the Arizona desert and live in luxury.

It just proves poor people can be happy without public housing, food stamps or welfare payments.

Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.
