Re: Ask an Ex-Negro
It is impossible for one to change their genetic and human construction. I believe (if anything the only possible way to change as a human being is morally, mentally, and ethically. Ethics are the codes of our perception and outlook of life in general. There are quite a few differences, in my opinion, between the ethical outlook of different ethnicities and races. This is all based upon ones upbringing.
Skin color cannot be changed. Ethics and mentality can, however, be changed to any design the beholder wishes. Common social influences and faith play a large role in shaping our ethical judgments. I do not believe that one can be an ex-negro, I do however believe one can change his/her perception of life based upon beliefs. Though, in the end, we are all still of the same appearance and genetics of which we were since our birth.
