    The Scriptures Game

    .

    Hi everyone,

Here is a game where you look up the previous poster's scriptural reference, post it and then leave your own reference.

I'm sure many have a good deal memorized, but you can use http://www.biblegateway.com to look up ones we might not be so familiar with.

I use the King James version.

Try and use a single verse of scripture folks, but I guess there are occasions where you might want to use more than one, that's fine.

(Now... there is no "scoring" per se, all for fun and education and everyone's a winner! )

Okay, the first verse of scripture is Matthew 3:17.

I think you're jumping in the pool before showering off, aren't you Mikey?

We don't know you from Adam. Why would we engage in any "Scripture Games" with an unsaved sinner who just stumbled into our forum? Even satan knows Scripture, friend. We don't fall for tricks that easily.

Why don't you make a thread of your own in the "introductions" section of the forum first, and tell us about yourself.
    Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

      Hi Pastor Ezekiel,

Yes I noticed the "unsaved sinner" label and didn't think it was a nice way to welcome a new member... what's with that?

I'm sorry, I didn't realize I would have to go through some type of trial to set a game thread... what can I do?

I have been a Christian for more than 24 years.

      Thx

Well we can't be too careful, friend. You wouldn't believe the sheer volume of unsaved scum who come here just to persecute us and mock Jesus. The DOF is runnin a background check on you as we speak.

It's best to introduce yourself first, don't you think? That's just good manners. The introduction section of the forum is HERE.

            Okay.

I am a 40 somethings Christian who became serious about Jesus at the age of 26.

My father, my only parent died of cancer when I was but 22, an orphan I suppose.

It was near Thanksgiving one year, I was watching a television commercial depicting a large family sitting around the dinner table... and there I sat alone with a turkey sandwich.

From that point I had decided that the world had rejected me...

So I applied for a job.

"Take me Lord, do something with me..."

It was at that time my troubles began, lol, but in the end I was truly glad for my troubles.

It was not long until I lost my job in electronics, lost my house, even my dog.

This was about the age of 30.

I left my town and took a bus north, was to remain homeless on and off for the next ten years.

I know my experience gave me more compassion for the poor, I had walked in my brother's shoes, there by the grace of God went I...

I notice you have some kind of site here... I thought maybe some games would build a little more fellowship, I dunno.

The DOF... what is the DOF?

            Thx

The DOF it the Official Department of Faith. It seems obvious to me that JESUS wants you home sooner than later. Why fight it? Tithe your worldly possessions to Landover and follow JESUS' desire.

Well, THX, that was truly a lovely and touching introduction, but it was also, unfortunately, in the wrong place. There is an introduction sub-board in the General Church Fellowship forum, and that's where you'd find your welcomes. But hello to you all the same.

Oh, calm down, Zekey, he's still figuring all this out. He'll get it eventually, with a little gentle guidance. Notice the emphasis on the "gentle", Zeke, don't intimidate the poor man.

I was just reminding the good Pastor that one catches more flies with honey than vinegar, that's all. And I thought you were still in your prayer closet? What with all those colon demons making you post about cooters, and all.

I am not interested in catching flies professionally. French delicacies such as mashed flies (bug butter) and slugs (escargot) are not my idea of fine dining!
