Here at Landover we believe that the Bible is the literal Word of God. He commands us through His Holy Word. If you say we are "piffled" up, you are saying God is "piffled" up. Do you really want to say that? You need to get right with God. God could take you this evening as you apply your acne medication. Do you want to take that chance? If I were you (and thankfully I'm not) I'd get out my AV1611 and start reading and praying right now.

Some of the Christians who post here are not as eloquent as others. Perhaps instead of the word 'beat', he could have used the word 'discipline'. The word disciple and discipline come from the same root.

In a Christian marriage, the wife is the disciple of the husband, just as Peter and Paul were Disciples of Christ. Since she is his disciple, it is the True Christian™ husband’s duty to discipline her. Is that a bit clearer now?
