    Heat Wave 2009

    Boy, it sure was hot today! I see that it's going to be even hotter tomorrow, with heat advisories for the entire state of Iowa. The weather prophets are predicting a high of 97, with a heat index well into the 100's tomorrow in Des Moines.

    I think this is God's way of showing sinners what Hell will feel like. Heat AND humidity...I can't imagine Hell to be a dry heat, because the humidity is what really wears you down. That, and being tormented by Satan for eternity!

    Be sure to check in on your neighbors tomorrow, especially us old folks, and try to stay inside if you can.

          Yes, I am truly blessed, Brother Larry Lee. I think I will hook up the Bat-Wing mower and mow the ditches tomorrow. It'll be too hot to do anything else.

              Good thinking. This time of year, that's nothing but smart pest control and integrated management. The Lord needs more stewards like you.

                  And thank you for not employing messicants to do your ditch work. I hate the thought of them squatting right out in front of GOD and doing their dirty business in our drinking water!

                      I have my A/C cranked to four blue bars. That's another good way to help Speed Up Global Warming.
