Kinkade can't catch a break

I hesitate a bit to pass along tips about making money with collector art that will help those who compete with me for profits. Only for my friends here at Landover Baptist who collect Kinkade would I make this exception.

My underground pipeline to Kinkade collector's items let me in on a limited number of Kinkade snow globes. My thinking is these will bring big money at art auctions in a short while. I'm grabbing one. By the time you read this they may not be available here is your chance.

Well they both learned to shut their traps when the Nazis occupied their countries! A lesson that seemingly needs repeating every few decades. Let the new braggarts mock our art, Sister, we will enjoy "the absolute denial of shit" as they live out the rest of eternity chez Satan in a burning Kinkadesque glow.

Another artist not adequately recognized is Terry Redland of Watertown, South Dakota. His talent for fast painting, thousands of works, has never been equaled. A stanch Republican he believed business should be the calling of every American. His marketing genius was that he could sell original paintings at the price of other artists' prints. "Why not own an original?" he asked. While he died a few years back his large gallery along I-29 remains where shrewd collectors can still buy any number of his works that feature pheasants and cabins in the woods next to streams. Even though Terry's paintings are now on sale at discounts you can bet every collector will one day be rewarded.

That's beautiful! How unlike Picasso, Dali and that New York abomination who painted bananas. However, in these days of world travel and hucksters everywhere, it's worth mentioning foreign "fast art" where I, say, can paint a bird in 5 seconds. Flossie can paint a snake and Bambang can do grass all day without even thinking about it. Get 100 of these and a—usually large—canvas, BINGO!

An instant(ish) painting with the bird several times over, multiple vivid snakes, grass everywhere, trees, butterflies, flowers, they swarm all over it frenetically each "artist" doing the one thing they can. Trees, foliage (done by someone else) and sold for however many thousands of dollars they think they can get out of you. The artists don't get anything. Just the dealer or whatever he calls himself. But is it art?

No.

A Redland is altogether different, and there's an interesting technique with lighting. Gels are available in standard tones and can be matched to the paint. Say if there's a dob of Yellow #312, select gel #312 and attach it to the light (as designed) so when you turn on the light (placed behind the picture) certain effects will emerge. In this case the yellow would disappear and blue shadow would turn green etc. The whole picture would change.

Similarly for the other pigments, then with faders controlling all the lights (maybe ½ dozen) brightening and going out in turn, how alive the lovely scene becomes! But I wouldn't recommend doing this with Picasso or those tacky images of the so-called Virgin Mary to make her seem alive when muttering at her. Revolting.

The problem with today is people have no taste anymore. That's why Kincade hardly painted people - why pollute good art with the rabbled masses? There's another Austrian painter I love who also is said painting people wasn't his strong point, but those critics have no culture or appreciation for the artistic sublime.

Thank you for that rebuke of art critics, Dr. Toole. Kincade's art depicted the lives of God-Fearing white people. That he himself had a little trouble with the bottle takes nothing away from the power of his art to make the world a better place.

Kincade's fit us here in the Middle West better than one of our own who started life here but went over cliff into nothingness. There is an entire permanent museum in Denver dedicated to Clifford Still, born a day's drive from Freehold in North Dakota. How can someone who painted endless portraits of nothing be so famous?

Even 13 years after his death, Christian convert and entrepreneur artist Thomas Kinkkkade can't catch a bbbreak with the liberal media fascists in the UK. The so-called BBC still criticize his "schmaltzy pastiches of Disney-style woodland scenes, complete with cutesy animals and fairy tale cottages… like the images you find on cheap greetings cards" despite $100m in yearly revenue.

His work "typically featured a cottage or a house of such insistent cosiness as to seem actually sinister, suggestive of a trap designed to attract Hansel and Gretel. Every window was lit, to lurid effect, as if the interior of the structure might be on fire" like a Nazi extermination chamber.



I'm horrified people think people like Kinkade would exterminate entire races. Why would they even think that? Something should be done.
