    Restaurant Review: The Chow Factory

My wife Delores and I don't usually go out to restaurants on church days, so it's rare that we ever go out. But last night we went to Landover's newest fancy (gourmet is too frenchy) restaurant, The Chow Factory on Route 49 near Indian Treaty Road. I had the Curly Noodles with Cream, Butter and Italian-Style Cheese Sauce ($9.75) and Delores, always the thrifty homemaker, had the Lightly Toasted Bologna and Brick Cheese Sandwich on Hearty White Bread ($7.95). Both meals came with a nice dinner salad and plenty of bread sticks. It was wonderful.

The decorations are very cosmopolitan-- you'd think you were at a fancy restaurant in one of the nation’s ritziest suburban office parks! There is a framed picture of Winston Churchill wearing sunglasses, the head of a bear mounted over the door (wearing sunglasses!), old-timey metal signs for antique products, and a barber pole outlined in green neon. It's crazy, and very creative!!

The service was excellent-- a young Christian kid working his way through Landover Baptist University served us-- so we splurged and left a $2.75 tip!

I'd heartily recommend The Chow Factory to anyone in the Freehold area that wants to have an elegant, night out on the town. The Chow Factory is going to give Olive Garden and Red Lobster a run for their money on elegant dining in the Tri-City area!!

That does sound classy. One of my favorite restaurants is decorated with old license plates and old movie posters (for movies as they were in the good old days, not the trash that Hellyweird puts out today). There are antique gum-ball machines in both entrances — from inside of the mall and from the mall parking lot.

Way to show your Christian love! For times when your server is hellbound trash, there are some extremely clever Bible tracts disguised as currency. They may not appreciate it at the time, but I'm sure they'll thank me when I see them again in Heaven. It's such a wonderful idea that, of course, the ministry that came up with it came in for some anti-Christian persecution.

This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

My wife and I recently discovered a quaint Eye-talian restaurant on the outskirts of town, a real mom and pop sort of operation called "The Olive Garden". I had some authentico Italiano veal with ketchup while my wife sampled the hamburger de graciano. It was a taste sensation that took us back to the Mediterranean and was certainly a feast for the senses.
