Hello people,
I was talking to a friend of me from Ecuador (she's a new friend I make when I went to visit the Pentecostler's Church) and she was talking about her cousins and uncles and ants in North America in California and Nuevo Méjico and Tejas and she were say me that they always say her that in North America it is the inmigrantes what does all the longer hours and harder works and the jobs what none Americans really want and that they are very harder worker peoples.
So I started to thinking. And thinking.
And I think I have notice that here in Spain too, the more harderest workers seems to be the people of south America cos I see them here in the country in Alcoy too and I have saw they in Alicante and I have saw they in Valencia and in Madrid and they seem always to be working (except the sundays when they always seems a little drunks in the streets) and I have also notice that the only North Americans I know are a little lazy.

The english academy where I was went for example, I had 3 teacher in the totals and 2 of them were no the most energiest guys I have ever met. In fact, it were any little excuse for go invite us have a beer, especially when only me and Alicia turn up in class, they would be like 'Hey, we is only 3 so let's go have a beer, or coffeee or whatever!' or he insist 'Mineral water!? Come on, drink you a güisqui or a glass of wine or a gin tonic' and he go buy me a estronger drink but I never drink it during the day, although I like a glass or 4 of red wines in the evening cool at night in the garden when is so hot and I have to use the fan to keep my sweats cool
,
so anyway they give me the impresion that North Americans are no the harderest workers in the world.
I mean if you watch all your USA films you see is always the south Americans what is doing the harderest works for long hours and in documentals I have saw is the same this.
So is this true the inmpression I have got?
And if it's true - why?
And why do people always sugest that Latins are lazy?
YIC, Mari.
