I'm very impressed with this latest effort to encourage nigra children to take their education and personal hygiene more seriously. I confess that I can't understand much of what they say in it, but if even one picanninnie is inspired to learn to read and/or keep themselves clean from this educational cartoon, then perhaps they might go on to become Saved one day.

One thing about afrospeak is that the phrases are repeated, usually 3 to 5 times, for emphasis. White people don't do this. I usually assume that the repetition is for the listener to catch up in the conversation, or to ease the understanding of unusual dialects.

I tried breakin' once, several years ago, but it was too strenuous to keep up. I like to check out a break dancing circle; they spontaneously generate in certain urban areas, but I don't participate in the ritual.

Dear Brother Remy, I meant no offense by the words "inferior race." I guess I meant to say that certain differences in their genetics and in the upbringings of people of color and caucasian people are such that we white people tend to find their occasional faux pas and amusing and frustrating, enough so that books are written and jokes told about them after certain gentlemen around here are in their cups when go out on their "boys' nights."

I personally favor the jigs, especially the little ones--they're called pickanninies--because they're just downright cute! Once when I was walking home down a street in the 'hood, one of them ran up behind me and just snatched the McDonald's bag that I'd bought for my dinner. This startled me, naturally, so I turned around and prepared to pursue him--but when I saw how cute a little nigglet he was, I couldn't stop myself from laughing! I once had a cat who would take a piece of meat off my plate and run away with it, so that's all i could see in my head. Poor little jig must've thought I was crazy.
