Are you blind? Are you mentally diminished in some way? Can't you see how America has been blessed above all other nations? Nobody can do anything without America's permission. No nation in the history of the earth has possessed more wealth, enjoyed more natural resources, won more wars, or been so obviously Blessed by Jesus.

EDIT: It has just come to my attention that you are another drunken criminal aussie scum. So that explains everything. You inbreds spend all your time being jealous of the rich bounty God has bestowed upon America, I know.

Ms. C, I have only heard of America, and where I live, most of it is negative.

I, however, am captivated by the country and aspire to live there, as it seems incredibly welcoming and diverse. I look around right now and see the inside of my tent.

If I were to go outside, I'd likely see my parents conversing with some of my siblings, our camels sleeping, and nothing but sand and dunes, with an occasional pyramid or two.

The gutterspeak found in England is a dying language. American is God's preferred language now, as can be seen by the obvious Blessings that He has bestowed upon His favorite country (America).

God wants us to be richly rewarded for our faith.

    2 Samuel 22:21
The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

    2 Chronicles 15:7
Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.

    Psalm 31:23
O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.

The United States is the single most powerful and wealthy nation in the world. Whereas England is a decaying cesspool of race traitors and queers. Face facts and you might find Salvation.

Brother King, irony has it that I even consider the "RIP" abbreviation almost "leet speek".

Clearly, this is not an attack on yourself or on your blessed Mom (RIP), but why don't we just say "may she forever Rest In Peace, that dear old lady who gave so much to Jesus"?

SPQR, RIP, AD... it's how leetspeek started. We should stand up and say "NO" !

We aren't LBC, we are the LANDOVER BAPTIST CHURCH. Praise!

started a topic R u as fed up...

    R u as fed up...

...as I am with ppl who com in her talkg lolcatspk or txtspk insted of proper American?

As one who respects and loves God's, and our, beautiful native language, this makes me furious! It flies in the face of simple decency. Honestly, is it so difficult to learn even the basics of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence construction?

And it's always the silly little trolls and flamers who are guilty of this offense. We True Christians ™ are, on the whole, well-spoken, literate, and more than able to clearly express ourselves. Our superior command of the language is testimony to our faith in and love for our Lord Jesus, for He guides our hands as they move over our keyboards to spread His Word in this Godly forum. For example, look at Poetic Peter's and One-Eyed Jack's contributions--pure lyricism and harmony!

And people from other lands, like Scheherezade! S/he may have issues, but her English is flawless! Brother Lindh, the same. Brother Remy, our fine ex-Negro, and Brother Joshua Brooks--if their histories were unknown to us, there would be no way to discern their ghetto-fied backgrounds. And think of the obstacles these people had to overcome to learn to speak the proper language of the Lord! Yet these little pagans and heathens who were, for the most part, privileged to have been born either here in America or in another country where a reasonable facsimile (i.e., understandable by Americans) of English is spoken cannot be troubled to put in the minimal effort required to learn its simple rules! Jesus weeps!

Can anything, anything at all, be done about this? Is there any way to limit the access of these unsaved, unwashed, trashy, ignorant "ppl" to this board unless and until they learn the rudimentary rules of American English? Or perhaps to issue them infraction points for their sub-par language skills? I'm not asking for perfection from them; in most cases, from what I'm seeing, that would be impossible, given their limited intellectual capabilities. I would only ask that they perhaps learn to use spellcheck and, occasionally, a thesaurus. I would even be willing to explain to them what the latter is and how it is used.

Oh, I nearly forgot to mention our dearest Sister Petal. Here is a person who grew up under conditions of extreme adversity, with no formal education, and is literally self-taught in reading. Her English is not technically perfect, but it is clear and concise and she uses literary and visual devices to make her points, and no one who reads her posts has the slightest trouble understanding what she is saying. How does she do this? By sheer will and dedication. Time and effort. The need to communicate with her fellow Christians. She is an inspiration to us all.

I'm considering just automatically putting the "great unwashed" interlopers on my "Ignore" list where I simply would not have to deal with them, but I would not want to do something so drastic and possibly un-Christian without consulting with our Pastors and other members of this Godly congregation.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Please feel free to jump in!
