Let's say you conceded the truth that there is a God. Would you also concede that He would be a bit better than your friends and family? If so, would it be better to be with Him, or the sinners that refused Him when they had a chance to join you in heaven.

Let me just say “something is wrong”. I was raised in a Christian home, attended and worked at Christian schools, attended bible meetings and camps and was baptised into the Christian faith. As such I feel that I have the right to say that I am appalled and horrified to read the comments made here by people who claim to be TRUE Christians.
All I have read is attacks on people that do not believe the same as you. You can call them atheists, but this does not give you the right to personally degrade and generalise their beliefs. This is up to God himself to do on the day of their reckoning, if that it what He chooses to do.
I am particularly disgusted at the comments made that ALL atheists perform acts of sexual deviancy. I myself and others I know personally have been subjected to this sexual deviancy by members of the Christian faith, particularly members who have been ordained by God. Do you think that this behaviour is exclusive to non believers, and I am sure that there is nowhere in the bible that God supports or condones such heinous acts by any human. If you are to make such comments you need to be able to substantiate them with factual evidence otherwise all you are doing is insulting a fellow human being, and I don’t think that it is written in the bible that you can insult others with lies. If they are not lies, show me the truth. But for a Christian to accuse others of the very same behaviour that is being publically exposed as perpetrated by Christians only shows that there is a double standard here that needs to be addressed. God wants people to live by moral values, and this accusation of behaviour only devalues your moral worth as a Christian. God does not want pettiness, he wants people to live as he has taught......Does it not say this somewhere is your bible?
Let me pose these ideas....If the world is only 6000 years old, why was the bible not written at the time of creation by God himself? If it was written by man after you say the world was created, is man not capable of making mistakes in his interpretation? Where in the bible does God say that the only true bible is the King James Bible?
Did God not give man the freedom to make his own destiny by giving his son to die on the cross? If so when did God rescind this and say that all people must obey the word of the King James Bible only, and that all others will be condemned to Hell?
As God is the only one who has the power to make judgement on all people when they die, why do you make judgements (and many false ones) on people just because they do not believe as you do?
God gave Moses the Ten Commandments yet you talk of killing people simply because they say they are atheists. You accuse them of being evil and deserve to be killed, yet your words are not Christian but are words of evil also. Should God not punish you for your thoughts and talk of killing other humans when he expressly said that these things are evil? I believe that this is not a Christian way to behave.
How are you meant to help redeem these so called atheists when you preach such horrible things, and from my observations act in the same way that you are accusing them of behaving. Just because they don’t follow exactly what you believe does not make them bad people, they are only expressing their beliefs as their God given right, just as you do.
If God is the one true power over all mankind, he would be most displeased with the fanatical tirades against all others not of your specific faith. Unless God has made a list and published it for all to see that shows which religious faiths are the only ones that will be considered for entry into Heaven and all others will be condemned to eternal damnation then you have no right to say that any one person other than yourself will go to either Heaven or Hell. It is ultimately up to God and God alone.
God gave all people the power over their own destiny, and they will be judged by him alone at their death. Unless you are pure of heart and spirit you have no right to make judgements, and by taking some of the deplorable comments into consideration I think that there is no one who is pure enough (this includes myself as we are all human and therefore not able to be pure.....ask Adam and Eve why).

This is just tragic, this whole organisation is just disturbing, offensive, voilent and just nonsense. i have been reading stuff here for the past day and i have been confronted with such nonsense such as the world is flat, that a video game makes people think of anal sex, lack of any science to explain that god is real (saying the bible exist which means god exist is just stupid). other stuff i found really offensive was that the great ju-ju in the sky oops i mean "god" randomly decides that he hates infants that haven't even been born yet and either makes them gay or makes them handicapped, the holocaust jokes and that it is ok to hit women. living with these conditions must be very sad so i can at least see where all of your anger is coming from.

I wish there was a way to live in the moment and not worry about an "after life" use common sense, be tolerant to everyone and also respect them and not to be scared into anyone else's way of thinking. Oh wait haha there is its called being an atheist.

I'm not so sure that you are a Christian. After all, you seem to have no qualms about cherry-picking the parts of God's Word that agree with your own vain, preconceived opinions and flippantly ignoring the rest. It takes a little bit more than raising your hand or checking a box on a questionnaire to actually be a Christian. I don't think it's too late for you, though, which is why my heart rejoices that the LORD has brought you to our forum.

It sort of does exist, in the form of us and the apes. Evolution is about creatures changing to suit their environments, and the way that the shared ancestors of the apes and human adapted was to grow larger brains, lose body hair and walk upright (in our case) or in the case of the apes, to retain the body hair and make other adaptations that allow them to live comfortably in trees. Kind of in the same way as you might have a distant relative, who is related to you because you have the same great great grandparents or something- that person will be different from you, but you still came from the same people somewhere down the line.

I think you misunderstand. If evolutionary pressures (e.g. lack of food) meant that you changed your habitat to living in a tree, then in many years' time your ancestors would probably have developed adaptations that would make climbing etc easier. It might be larger deltoid muscles, or lighter bones so that you weigh less, or something like that.
