    Your argument would be more effective here if you could find a Bible verse to support it. Let me help.

    Romans 13:1

    Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

    And this is why people who believe the Bible are working so hard to elect people who believe the Bible. Because if they can write the laws to conform to what the Bible says, then everything that they do is in obedience to the law. It really is so simple, isn't it?

      My old friend the sheriff, who attends the same church and is in the same turkey hunting group as me, would probably take my word over that of some undocumented young woman who can barely speak English, or even multiple undocumented young women who can barely speak English in several incidents over multiple years.
      I was sinking deep in sin far from the peaceful shore,
      Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more;
      But the Master of the Sea heard my despairing cry,
      From the waters lifted me, now safe am I!
