I believe the bible. It just seems like this church, alone, has taken the bible way out of context. Many other christians believe so too. You guys have a post about how the world is undoubtedly flat. Its insane for this church to believe so. Its these little things that make me wonder about the landover baptist.

You know, the bible should never be rivised. But yet your church believes its undoubtedly right.

We unequivocally believe that the Bible should never be edited or changed in any way. In fact, Jesus Himself stated:

18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Not even one little dot over the 'i' or the cross from the 't' is to be changed. And that's a fact.

Well unfortunately you are about to be hit with a dose of reality. Just because someone calls a book the "King James Version" doesn't mean that it is. I could fill a coloring book and label it "War and Peace", but that doesn't mean that it is. Fortunately, human beings have been endowed with a sense of critical thinking which allows us to discern real from fake.

I fail to see any evidence of hatred here, my friend. Is a parent who punishes their child "full of hatred"? Sometimes the truth hurts, and isn't fun to hear. When a child is put in timeout, spanked or otherwise punished, the parent isn't doing that because he hates his child. Rather, quite the opposite is true: he loves his child so much that he chooses to teach the child a lesson!

That is our role here, as God's representatives on this Fallen World. We are to be a shining beacon of Light for those that are lost (including you, my friend). Now if you can't handle a loving reproach or helpful advice, that is your own problem. The Lord commands us to spread the Good News of Salvation, and if you aren't ready or willing to hear it and to heed the call, then I suggest you take up the matter with Him. We are only here to be a tool for Jesus.

BTW there are christian forums that do nothing but laugh at you guys. Thinking that the earth is flat, thinking your church is the path, and believing that treating others like shit is holy. Funny stuff..

Of course there are. For centuries people have been laughing at Christians' "crazy" beliefs. I bet when Jesus first walked on water there were skeptics even then! And time has done nothing but to increase the number of scoffers. But even through all of the persecution, we stay steady for the Lord, since we know that our reward is in Heaven. We take pride in this fact, for it is written:

13But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
