I know I'm new here. But I tried to imagine coming face to face with the fellow in the picture. And it actually frightened me. Do these goths not see how Satanic they are. Look at his eyes. He must be full of demons. If I'd ever even thought about trying to dress as a goth. My Father would've beaten my backside till I was black and blue.

I guess you people would label me and all of my friends as "goth" or "emo".
Yes, I wear all black, dance, drink, self-harm, have piercings and tattoos, write poetry, am a Wiccan, and listen to Marylin Manson. But that does NOT give you the right to judge me and throw me into the same category as murderers. I'm studying to become a forensic anthropologist so that I can bring murderers to justice.(And don't you dare say that I am stupid. I am in all honors and AP courses with straight A's.) My boyfriend and the love of my life is the son of a Presbyterian minister. But you people just make me hate Christians so much. Some of my best friends are gay and lesbians. They didn't do anything wrong to you people! You people are just sugar-coating your prejudices and fears by saying that "God has damned these people" or that "they have lost the light of God" or that "they are satanists". For anyone who says that, fuck. you. You say that "God loves all of his children equally," then turn around and say that "this group of people is damned." You don't even give them a chance to get to know them. You're abusing your religion to hurt people and then claim that you are the victim. Bull shit. Grow up and start getting to know people before you jump to conclusions. I cut myself not because I worship Satan, but because it was the only thing keeping me from suicide. I didn't want to kill myself to be with Satan, but because my parents were abusive Christian alcoholics and I was stressed about school. I like piercings and tattoos because I find them pretty. I don't have acne, and am not fat because all of the Christians in my town harassed me so much I stopped eating and have been battling anorexia for years now. Do you have any idea how hurtful your "good Christian words" are? No, so why don't you people shut the fuck up and mind your own busyness.

I'm not blaming the people here for my problems, just explaining why I cut. And every time I prayed to God, he only took away what mattered most to me. Once I relied on nature and science, I was able to keep the things precious to me.

My 15 year old mother and her 17 year old boyfriend having unsafe sex is actually what gave me life. And where's the proof? How do you explain fossils and dinosaurs? Do you honestly believe that all of a sudden there was humans and animals?
