    Question about Avon...

I've been looking around on here for a while and I haven't found anything on the subject. I hope someone can help me.
Is it wrong for women to sell Avon? I know it is technically a "job", but it is a job that can be done from the home. I've even met married mothers of 4+ and early widows who sell Avon part-time and still have time to do all of the necessary household chores and raise their children. It's supposed to be really simple for feeble-minded females to understand. Is it still a sin since it does promote vanity?
Thank you in advance for your advice.

    Re: Question about Avon...

The way I would look at it is why is your husband not making enough money so you don't have to get a job in the first place? It's a man's responsibility to bring home the bacon and the woman's to fry it. Besides, housewives who sell Avon may be tempted to go find work themselves. It's a gateway to feminazi liberation. Sure, they start selling a couple hundred here and there from their home...but they want more...they crave more...next thing you know they're out with resumes at job fairs and focusing on their careers and not enough on child-rearing!

Actually, (not to undermind your authority as a man) but I saw a paid program for selling Avon and women are actually leaving their careers and jobs to sell Avon.
And what if the woman isn't married? Depending on where she lives, she may not be able to find a good, Godly man to bring home the money.
Or what if the husband has a job that doesn't pay enough to support his family?

(ps: I'm not married yet and I don't wanna be stuck at a fast food job smelling like grease working alongside illegals until God graces me with a Godly husband to take care of me)

Honey, let me give you some advice here.
Avon is a fast-track to Hell. Selling cheap Cosmetics, whatever next?
Freehold Nail Parlor sells the best Ladies essentials in the State.
Guaranteed to be tested on Animals and Wiccans for your safety.

You need to marry a man real quick so God doesn't think you are a Lesbian.
I'm not just talking any man here, I am talking about a wealthy man who can take care of you properly while you spend your time rearing his children and looking after him.
Of course, the man has to be a good True Christian™ because if you marry a false Christian you may as well be staying a lesbian for all the good it does for you in Gods eyes.
Lezbean's go to HELL. You don't want to go to HELL do you dear?
The Devil don't care if you are a Lesbian or a Homo or even a Moozlime, he is still gonna rape you so hard with his barbed Tallywhacker you'll be wishing you'd have listened.

I always thought that "avon" stuff was just a hobby of some kind. If you want to occupy your time, I'd suggest cooking lessons. The way to a man's heart is through his stomach, ma'am.
          Who Will Jesus Damn?

There's a woman in my village who sells Avon merchandise. I looked through the catalogue once, cheap and nasty rubbish.
I don't think she is married but she knocks on plenty of single men's doors, more than she should do I think.
This woman has created quite a reputation for herself.

Well angels (though you might like that), I think you have identified exactly what this harlot is selling. I have seen these women when I worked in the city. Some drove pink cars too.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

                Re: Question about Avon...

I would have a concern regarding women, unsupervised, in a protracted 'hen party', playing with cosmetics. There are some definite Lesbean overtones to the whole 'helping each other with their makeup' thing, and why should they be taking any chances ??

And, as mentioned above, the vanity thing is also a hotbed of Damnation.

                Recall Tammy Faye Baker Meisner!!
Jud 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are unGodly among them of all their unGodly deeds which they have unGodly committed, and of all their hard [speeches] which unGodly sinners have spoken against him.

You should be emphasizing your inner beauty, instead.
