Ways of understanding the Gods motives

I am not an atheist, altho in your eyes I my seem even worse, since I'm a protestant, a lutherian.

But I have to ask here too, since I've been searching for the answer in conversations with dozens of different preasts and this seems like a thread good for that.

Why did God create men anyways? I mean, the bible says, we are a picture of his, but I mean, why did he make us imperfected? Does this mean he's imperfected also? If he's not, why would he make a picture of his own that is?

He's omnipotent and ever existing, so he knows what has happened and what will happen, so basically he wouldn't have needed to create us in the first place. So why did he? Is he petty, lonely, bored? Please do tell me, since my vague learnings of the bible can't explain this to me.

Please, do not take me as an internettroll, need help on this matter, and so far, I have not got an answer even close to sufficient.

God created Mankind in order to serve Him.

Now please make a thread of your own in the "Introductions" section of the forum, so that we can properly greet you. Tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.

And if you're here to flame us, better take a look at THIS before making an even bigger ass out of yourself.
    Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

      Isaiah 55:8-10 (King James Version)

8For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

9For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

That solves your problem, you've been trying to use your "brain" to figure out thoughts that it can't possibly think.

Second, he did not make us imperfect.

      Romans 5:12
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Until Eve seduced Adam into sinning we were perfect.

You would think that even a Lutheran would know that there is only ONE true God.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

Re: Ways of understanding the Gods motives

            Dear Sir,

Why else but love? God is most wise, most merciful, most loving. He created us out of the greatest love.

Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
            ~ Jeremiah 31:3

And he created the world for us to master.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

            ~ Genesis 1:27-28

God made us because he loves us, because he had always loved us. He gave us life as a gift, and what we do in this life, is our gift to him. We were made for his pleasure.

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
            ~ Revelation 4:11

See? Out of lovingkindness we were made, for he is most loving. He thought it best, because he is most wise. He is as the greatest of fathers, and we as his children. Like the greatest of masters, and we are his servants. This is his divine plan.

            Respectfully, and faithful in God.
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight,
O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
