    Bridge - Is It Sinful?

Hello brothers and sisters in Christ!

I'm just recently saved and have so many questions!

I caught my mother playing a game called "bridge" the other day. She had 3 other people at her kitchen table engaged in this game of sin. It would appear to me that a deck of cards is simply 52 devils in a box..

Am I wrong in judgement? I suspect this is Satan's game of souls?

    Please help?

    Yours in Christ,

    Harold

Have you consulted the Holy Bible on this question?

What does your local pastor have to say?

I wonder why your mother has so much free time. Why isn't she on her knees, scrubbing floors?

Bless you Pastor! I will search the scripture for the Truth!

I suspect she knows her wicked ways... We'll find it in the Bible..

I think your mother needs a firm beating with a belt. Where is your father? What does he think of this situation?

The word "Domino" is a subliminal message planted by the Cathylicks in league with the Satanists. It means "demon" but the Cathy Licks say it means "God". That's because they worship demons.

Re: Bridge - Is It Sinful?

I see little difference in any game of chance, whether cards, dice, throwing bones, or any other such tomfoolery.

And the KJV1611 is quite clear that these activities should be condemned:

                Matthew 27:35
And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

                Mark 15:24
And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take.

Vile, evil activities. Your mother and the wanton harlots around her should all be beaten.

                  Brother Harold,

The ONLY thing your mother should be doing is her wifely duties and the work of the Lord.

If however she does have a few minutes free, this could be a suggestion:

It is a great game, but rather than roll the dice, I usually pray on the spot for Jesus to guide me to the space I need to be on the board.

                  Psalm 119:33

Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.

Another card game that should be avoided at all costs is SPADES.

                  Hope that helped.

                  Mrs.P.Wintersnow

                    Bless you brother Dirk!

I'm prepared to do this, but have been studying my KJV and can't find scriptural support. Do you have inspirational verses to soothe me as I raise the belt? As you know, it will be harder on me than it will her.

If not, I'll have to trust my fellow Christians here are steering me in the right direction. My mother she is, but still only a woman and her cooking never was that good. And I can't remember the last time a saw her in her prayer closet..

Sadly, my father is a wicked fornicator living in Las Vegas and we have no contact. I cannot be an enabler and lend support to his wickedness by maintaining a relationship.

I don't know much about bridge, but once, when I was visiting my cousins, I heard my widowed Aunt May playing bridge with her friends, and I have to tell you that I was shocked. Every ten minutes or so, somebody would talk about taking a rubber. What in heaven's name my lovely Aunt May and the other three women wanted with all of those rubbers, I don't know, and I really don't want to know, but it had to involve some sort of fornication, and that's a violation of God's word.

I pray for my Aunt May's soul every night.

Hmmm... Your testimony in Christ seems valid on the surface...

But your avatar suggests otherwise. The Holy Spirit tells me that yours is a photograph of a heathen in the wicked and sinful pleasure of sodomy!

You understand that I cannot trust such images in my foundation to walk with Christ?

I only hope I am wrong and that you are NOT a homo. Tell me you are just witnessing?
