  • Pray for my move to China

Please seek the Lord for me on the topic of my possible move to the land of China, a place hungry for Jesus. Although I would again need to learn Chink, I feel confident that it is an easy language to acquire. How much different from American can it be?

I also understand there are many horses there. A definite plus.

I wonder if the horses speak Chink or some other form of oriental. So much to look into, so much to look forward to. I sincerely appreciate your tremendous interest as you fall on your knees.
    Proverbs 21:31 KJV 1611:
“The horse is prepared against the day of battell: but safetie is of the Lord.”

Lord, may I serve my equine brothers and sisters just as I do my fellow man.
    Amen and Amen

Don't bother. Everyone in the world understands American. Just talk loud and slowly. If they don't understand, get louder.

You could move to Hong Kong, where English is one of the two official languages, so you wouldn't have to learn their gibberish moonspeak. Unlike the rest of Godless commie China, it has a Godly free market capitalist economy that is the most laissez-faire in the whole world. Their leader is even called the "Chief Executive!" As far as slants go, Hong Kong is the best part of Asia (yes, I realize that most of Putin's land is in Asia, but Siberia doesn't exactly have the best reputation as a place to live).

Hong Kong may be the answer!
I was sinking deep in sin far from the peaceful shore,
      Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more;
But the Master of the Sea heard my despairing cry,
From the waters lifted me, now safe am I!

Re: Pray for my move to China

Bless you, Brother Cranky, and Bless you, Brother Dennis, for your solid encouragement and advice regarding my move to the land of the mathematics experts and, from what I hear, seekers of truth in Jesus. Luke 10:2 tells us that workers are needed to reap the harvest and that is true regardless if they're slant-eyed heathens. My love for them has to be true and steadfast. I am reminded of the old Chinese proverb: 点香味紧紧抓住能送花的手 "A bit of fragrance clings to the hand that gives flowers." I am not sure why I am reminded of that but oh well.

I have an appointment at Honest Joe's Immigration Bureau in the morning to discuss all I need to do for the move. I can then begin to look for suitable housing in an affordable area so I don't use all my trust fund. I can't wait to share the love of Christ with chink homers and report here on my progress in saving that part of the world until Jesus comes. I hope I have time (Rev. 22:12).

I wonder if I can find housing for $200-300 per month. Seems a fair price for a third world county like China. I sure hope they don't serve rice all the time. I get flatulent when I eat rice.
        Proverbs 21:31 KJV 1611:
“The horse is prepared against the day of battell: but safetie is of the Lord.”

Never fear, they have McDonald's in China. Godly American food is much healthier than the roots and grubs those people eat. God bless American cultural hegemony!

My contact with missionaries to China (and nearby areas of need) suggests that "rebelliousness" takes the form of never speaking Chinese because that's what upsets the "old fogeys" who see their culture as something to preserve. And guess what? They don't want to speak Italian. Let's face it, have you ever seen an Italian film? Waffling on about extinct goddesses and hermaphrodite worship, popes, olives and that sludge polenta or whatever they call it. What chinaman eats olives?

You'll get on pretty well and if there's a trust fund or two you probably won't have to pay for much other than a decent American vehicle which you could import. Go for big fins and juke-box interiors. From what I've heard any import duties would be repaid over and over again. Have you ever seen a Chinese car?
