[Pastor Billy-Reuben]

Please help me pray for this poor lost individual.

I'm a friendly guy, so I accept all incoming friend requests on facebook. The more friends I accept, the more people that I can reach with the Word of God.

I accepted a friend request from a guy, I won't name him because I don't want to embarrass him, and he proceeded to post all over my wall with violent and sexually explicit messages like this:

I was wondering if your a raging f****t? And I could please rape your face? Do you think any of that is possible? I also want you to f**k your self in the *** with a katana and let your interal [sic] organs fall all over your "bible." What your doing isnt found in the bible. It most certainlly [sic] isnt [sic] Christian and shouldnt [sic] condoned by anyone who is. Your a f*****g cancer to the United States of America and of the world for that matter. You dont [sic] tollerate [sic] any other religion besides yours and you claim that every other religion is false. That is exactly why there a problems in the world. Because people dont [sic] tollerate [sic] each other. Anyways, I hope you die in a fire along with the Landover Baptist church. Its hard to believe that anyone in your organization has even completed high school. You seem to be the most uneducated bunch of mongoloid ***holes Ive [sic] met, right along side with the Westboro Baptist church.

This fellow is clearly battling against demons of wrath and homosexuality and he needs our help. I am starting a prayer chain so that we can pray that Jesus will come into this poor fellow's heart and help him see the errors of his ways so that he can be saved.

Even though praying is the most powerful thing I can do, I have also been communicating with him through private messages, sharing the Word of the Lord with him. I think I might be starting to reach him. The violent and sexually explicit tone is gone from his most recent messages, the swearing has dropped considerably, and I've got him looking at the Bible now.

I feel a victory coming on!

Man, Im not angry. And I appreciate the compassion. But **** bro, Im a protestant and Ive never heard the kind of hate you preach. To hate every other religion because they worship "satan?" What?! I see that you "quote" the bible and you interpret it. Well man, your interpretations are very wrong. If I was to learn one thing from the bible it would be to tolerate other men for what they believe in. Now I'm not saying let gay people go out in the street and butt**** in front of little kids. What people do is their business. And as long as they do it behind closed doors I really could care less. If you want to worship a hamburger, go for it! Its not my business and as long as I'm not seeing or hearing about it I don't care.
Now I know what your going to say. "Well I'm doing my thing behind closed doors. I'm preaching and your not hearing about it." But you guys advertise and claim your some kind of saviors. You really give Christians a bad name. And calling your self a Christian is very offensive to me. So it is my business because when my friends, who aren't Christian, read about your kind of Baptism in the paper they become offended. And they start to believe that -all- Christians are like this. The same thing happens when you see Muslim's on CNN blowing them selves up becoming martyrs. If I didn't have a proper education I'd probably think that -all- Muslims are like this. The fact is they are not. Neither are Buddhists, Hindus or any other religion for that matter (maybe Satanists. Thats the only religion I agree that is retarded.) I'm very culturally rounded Billy and your blasphemy is ludacris to say the least.
At any rate, I just thought I'd share seeing as how you took the time to write me back. I know I'm not going to change your mind because you have so many followers and when you have so many I'm sure your income is rater hefty.

What hate are you talking about? The Bible is very specific about what will happen to those who don't follow Jesus, and I love people enough to warn them so that they can change their ways and avoid that fate. I don't hate people enough to say "I don't care".

Imagine you lived in an apartment and the building caught fire in the middle of the night. You are evacuating the building, but on your way out you notice that your neighbor hasn't come out of his apartment because the alarms didn't wake him. Would you say, "if he wants to sleep through the fire alarm, that's his business and I don't care"? Or would you be like me and bang on his door until he woke up?

I see tolerance as the opposite of love. Tolerance means indifference. Love means caring that others are sending themselves to Hell and having the courage to try to do something about it.

I don't interpret the Bible, friend. I just read it and accept it as is. The Bible is God's plainly-written Word to man and requires no interpretation. Just read it and believe it.

You've got me very curious. I have studied the Bible for forty years and have read every word of the it several times, and I don't remember reading a single passage that says that other religious beliefs should be tolerated. I am very aware of several passages that say the opposite of that, however. If you could point out some passages to me and show me that I am wrong, I would be much obliged.

Well apparently your religion differs from mine. I'm not one to believe your a Christian. At my church, North Congregational which is located in Michigan, we don't hate other men because of what they believe in. And the whole quote about not waking someone up if there is a fire. Only a bastard and an inconsiderate fool would not nock to wake them up. That literally has nothing to do with religion.
Second link on google. http://www.openbible.info/topics/tolerance Looks like your about to get hit with a brick of knowledge. If some how you can't get in I'll give you a few of the quotes that are easily decipherable.
Matthew 7:1 "Judge not, that you not be judged"
Acts 10:28 "And he said to them, "You yourselves know how unlawful it is for a Jew to associate with or to visit anyone of another nation, but God has shown me that I SHOULD NOT CALL ANY PERSON COMMON OR UNCLEAN."
Believe me there are plenty more quotes if you'd go ahead and read them.
So with those, I'm going to ask which bible, and which parts your reading. You didn't happen to write your own version did you? Because you claim to have read the bible so many times and you know it through and through. Not to mention your a pastor of a huge following with it's own very active forum. I think it's time to rethink what you call a "religion."
I'm sure I'll be hearing from you about how those quotes were misinterpreted by me or something. How ever it is in black and white.

Right, and only a bastard and an inconsiderate fool would stand by and say "I don't care" when he knows someone is headed for Hell. The Bible tells us that God is angry with the wicked every day (Ps 7:11). If you would warn someone of a mere fire, why wouldn't you warn someone that God is angry with him?

I don't hate others because of what they believe. If I hated them, I wouldn't work so hard to try to help them get saved, now would I?

The verses you cited are important to talk about. Thank you for bringing them up. I find it very interesting that you cite Matthew 7:1, for you have been judging me harshly, falsely accusing me of hating others. If you read the following verses, and if you read the parts of the Bible that tell us to judge not by appearances but to judge righteous judgement (John 7:24) , you will see that Matt 1:7 isn't a prohibition against any and all judging but a prohibition against hasty and hypcritical judging.

You might want to read the "Note of Caution" on the About page of that online topical Bible ( http://www.openbible.info/topics/ ):

"Always check the context of a verse; that’s why the links are there. The context of a verse might put a very different slant on what the verse seems to say. The Bible isn’t a Magic 8-Ball or a fortune cookie, so don’t treat it like one, OK?"

Acts 10:28 is about racial tolerance, not religious tolerance. You have to read the whole chapter to understand what that verse is saying. Cornelius the centurian, a Roman, wanted to become saved, but at that time all Christians were former Jews, and Peter believed that only Jews were good enough to become Christians. God sent Peter a vision where he was surrounded by unkosher animals and told him to rise, kill, and eat. Peter balked that the animals were unclean, but God responded, "What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common." Verse 28 is where Peter explains to Cornelius the centurian that God has shown him that no one is excluded from the opportunity to be saved.

Like Peter after his vision, I also do not consider non-Christians to be unclean or common, to be hated. If I did, I wouldn't waste time preaching the Word trying to help them get saved.

I also find it interesting that, of all the verses on your tolerance link, you seem to have cherry-picked the two that seemed best suited to the case you were trying to make, ignoring verses like 2 Cor 6:14-15, Luke 11:23, 2 John 1:7-11, 1 Timothy 6:3-5, and John 14:6, which were also on that page.

I will pray for that poor lost sinner, but I'm afraid he's turning a deaf ear to what the bible REALLY says and instead has sunk into the comfy bean-bag chair of liberal Christianity.
