Remembering my friend BOB STUPAK (Creator of Vegas World)

    BOB STUPAK
    1942-2009
As many of you know, I'm in with the in-crowd of the Vegas Elite. I've been doing missionary work in Las Vegas since the 1960's where I've built up many famous friends and associates. I have a photo of myself with Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin in their booth at the Flamingo sharing martinis with each other, ministered to Liberace and tried to help him become Ex-Gay (failed), and I've even taken a couple Cadillac rides with Elvis. And recently at my 69th Birthday party, I had my dear friend Wayne Newton fly in and sing for us all.

But, one of my dear Vegas friends has passed on to be with Jesus. I want everyone to pray for Bob Stupak, creator of the Vegas World casino and champion poker player.

I met Bob in the mid-70s, right around the time his World Famous Gambling Museum burnt to the ground due to "faulty air conditioning". Using the insurance payouts and a bankloan, he created that classic and memorable casino Vegas World. I was there, on hand with Bob when it opened in 1979. He asked me if I had faith that the casino would thrive. I replied: "I have as much faith as this casino lasting 1000 years as I have that Jesus died for our sins.". He smiled, reassured.

Sadly, Vegas World was torn down in 1995 to make room for Stratosphere.

But, let's all pray for Bob and I'm going to sip a martini tonight remembering those times I had in the private suites at Vegas World and spending night after night trying to bring young callgirls to accept Jesus inside of them.

    The epitome of class!

I am sorry for the loss of your friend, Rev. Jim. You and Mr. Stupak are in my prayers. The Lord took him much too soon, at the young age of 67.

Or did He? Could it be that Mr. Stupak was not supposed to be called to heaven quite yet, and that he is actually the very first victim of Barack Hussein Obama's Death Panels? Sure, I see it now.... frightened doctors and nurses were intimidated by Obama's Nazi Thug Death Army into not treating Mr. Stupak, and he became Victim #1 of Obama's Evil Scheme to Kill Good Americans Through a Government-Run Health Care Death Squads. Yes, that makes PERFECT sense-- that Obama personally ordered his health care welfare thugs to lean on the doctors and nurses treating Mr. Stupak and made sure he would DIE. I'd call it COLD BLOODED MURDER!!

O, Lord, please save us from the terrible hellish nightmare of America Under Obama's Oppressive Thumb!!

Thank you Brother Monty. I'm not sure if Obama was behind it or not (he had leukemia and I know the CIA has given its enemies cancer) so it's anybody's guess.

I had some good memories and bad with Bob. The good times were when I was getting comped all the time there, and hanging out in the ultra-exclusive suites with Bob and Steve Wynn, playing billiards, sipping brandy, smoking Cubans, and discussing the Bible with several Playboy Playmates.

The bad times were when I lost my Porsche 911 on a single spin on roulette at Vegas World. I swear I could hear Jesus inside of me saying "Bet on red! Bet on red! Red is the color of my blood which I shed for your sins.". Black represented the darkness of Satan. So I bet on Red...

$55,000 dollars lost on one spin. Most people can't bet that much, but being personal friends with Bob has its perks. Fortunately, I've more or less conquered my gambling addiction. Nowadays it's maybe making little sidebets (less than $10,000) with the other pastors here during golf games, or calling up my bookie to bet on the Dallas Cowboys.

I'm really going to miss Bob.

I am moved, Rev. Jim, about your tale of faith. Obviously, you've come out miles ahead with The Lord than you could have possibly traveled on Earth in that Porsche 911. I'm sure you rejoice every day about the tinkling of that little white ball into that black hole.

Thank you for your kind words in this most troubling of times for me. In the end I learned that material things come and go, but the Word of God endureth forever. On the bright side, my life has steadily improved since being released from prison (and especially since I have joined the pastoral staff here at Landover Baptist!). Things are picking back up to their former glory.

            Jim,

I'm sure going to miss Bob as well. Did you know his Dad Chester? He owned the Lotus Club back in Pittsburgh. That was a great place to unwind after a long weekend at the pulpit, let me tell you.

Bob was a chip off the old block. Always into gaming and trying to help his friends. Just like his old man.

Did you ever meet his friend Petey Milano from L.A.? I heard he was a major backer in Bobby's mayoral run in 1987.

Even though Bobby was having major financial difficulties, we both know there's no way he would ever have actually rigged those machines for the mob. Even the Vegas newspaper called the gaming board's innuendos "unsubstantiated".

            YIC,

            Leroy
Well bless my soul. What is wrong with thee? You're twitchin' like man with epilepsy. Who do you think would have such bad luck? In the name of Jesus, now get up and walk! Mm mm oh, oh, yeah, yeah!

All Shook Up For The Lord.
