This is the only a small part of what the Lord says in his Holy Word reguarding loving others and not hating them.

Read John 15 in context. To whom is Jesus speaking? His disciples. He is telling His disciples to love one another. If He'd meant "love everybody", He'd have said so.

As for John 3:17, let's continue to the next verse:

John 3:18

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

In other words, anyone who is not a Christian is condemned to be burned alive for all time in God's Lake of Fire simply for not believing.

Does that sound like God loves everybody?

Friend, from what do you get the idea that God uses logic? My goodness, He created the entire universe in six days, creating light (Genesis 1:3-5) before the sun and stars (Genesis1:15-19)! That's not logical. That's miraculous! How can you doubt Jesus' pure and miraculous nature (illustrated in His white skin), even growing up in the desert?

I did not pick out this verse without considering the verses before and after it. The point is, Jesus befriended not kings and men of wealth only, but commondors and people of the poor,etc.,etc. in todays world, that would be the druggies, the poor, the homeless and needy, the ones who did not follow the law and those who basically were against the Lord, but with Jesus' teachings, they accepted him into their hearts and found eternal life with God instead of Death which is where they would normally be heading towards.
