I am wondering, though, Reverend Osborne, why we're fundraising for this particular issue. I thought we'd set aside quite a large sum last year (to be held in trust as bail money, etc.) when that other incident with Pastor Ezekiel took place.

I'm quite sure I remember donating to that fund.

Please understand, people, that incidents of persecution against a much-beloved True Christian™ Pastor like me are quite expensive. The lawyer fees are staggering, and I had to burn the suit I was arrested in (that's a good $5k right there), and the police tow truck put a scratch in my 2010 Customized Escalade, so that had to be replaced...I could go on and on.

I'll tell you, it costs money to be persecuted!

I Believe that even the major news agencies are helping towards Pastor Ezekiel's Defense Fund, because they had little to say about the ice-storm Disaster that hit the soo injuns up in South Dakotaville that "people" might have wasted their Money on instead.

Please understand, people, that incidents of persecution against a much-beloved True Christian™ Pastor like me are quite expensive. They put a scratch on it . Pastor please allow me to purchase a new one for you. Its my gift, and don't forget the 20 inch wheels with spinners. You are a True Man of God and you deserve nothing but the best. Just have the bill sent to me. But I still don't see how we went through Pastor Ezekiel's seven-figure emergency fund from last year (which we all contrinuted mightily to), on top of what we raised in just the last few days. That just doesn't make any sense.

So before you start giving even more, I'd say let's wait for them to locate that other account from last year...because realistically, there has to still be plenty of funds there to cover Zeke's car repair, etc. etc. etc. etc.

Am I missing something?

Ill' skip lunch for a while to see what i can save up and ill' see what i can take to the Christian pawn shop downtown i also got the kids to donate there allowences for this month they werent' happy at first but i told them serving God isnt' all ways easy.

Miss Cookie. Money and finances involve numbers. Big, scary numbers, something a little lady like you should not be concerned with. Stay within your area of expertise, like how long after baking you pie must you let it be exposed on the window sill to cool before a man can dig in.

Mistress Cookie, Feel free to use my donations to help in any way the Church elders feel appropriate. Some times funds are used for other reasons
than they were originally intended.

As for the Pastor's Escalade, I could not bare the thought of him driving a auto that has sustained that much damage. If he were involved in an accident that was a result of a shoddy repair, I could not forgive my self.

I have contacted the Freehold Cadillac dealership, and have instructed them to out fit Pastor Ezekiel 's choice with what ever he wants.They have a cashiers check in hand so just pick it out. It is the very least I can do. Hasn't Pastor Ezekiel suffered enough, without the added humiliation of driving a damaged Escalade! If this were to have happened to Jesus, would you not do the same for Him?

So educate me. Please. Justify the purchase of a stretched Escalade over, say, a non-stretched Escalade. A Lincoln. ANYTHING. Why a limo? And why was it purchased with YOUR MONEY? The money YOU are giving HIM should be used for the CHURCH, not for his own comfort.

It is my wish to purchase a gift for MY Pastor. Pastor Ezekiel's vehicle was badly damaged. And I want to replace it. He spends thousands of hours a year doing the Lords work, why should we deny him a few comforts. It is very cold in Iowa this time of year, I do not think a broken down car is in his best interests.
