  • Prayer for Tolerance

    May we remember
    In our humanity
We are part of a world family.

    Tolerance
    Noting differences
    While remaining peaceful.

    Recognizing that each
    Has the right
    To determine their reality.

    Tolerance
    Allowing us to remain calm
When we think others should act differently.

    Tolerance breeding happiness
    As we take tender insights
    Into living.

    Tolerance
Blossoming in peace, joy, happiness, love.
Acceptance in love by practicing love.

Human beings are made of body, mind and spirit.
    Of these, spirit is primary,
for it connects us to the source of everything,
    the eternal field of consciousness.

Keep your feminazi poetry to yourself, harlot. This is a Christian forum.

Do you just read from the bible when you pray? Well, I guess this isn't really a prayer... more of a meditation. I say this to myself when I am meditating and radiate my compassion all around the world.

Meditation is nothing but an invitation to satan to enter your soul. How stupid can you get, girl?

Godly true, Gertrude. Much like God's upon reading this.

Isaiah 16:11 Wherefore my bowels shall sound like an harp for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kirharesh

I have no doubt this fellow has some strange foreign name like Moab Kirharesh.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Do you have a prayer closet?

I can send you the architectural drawings for this one if you like.

                2 Chronicles 7:14
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land Australia.

I find this amazing, until I came here, I literally used a closet. Just crawled in under the clothes.

Oh God... you people really do take the bible literally! I guess you got this idea from the King James translation of Matthew 6:6 - "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly."

This is a metaphor, like most of the rest of the bible. It's just saying not to be showy about praying. You don't literally have to lock yourself in a closet!

In fact, if you read a more modern translation of the bible, the word "closet" is just translated as "room." From the New International Version:

How dare you mock the Word of the Lord. Stop worshiping your pagan idols.

Psalm 74:18 Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, and that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name.

Why am I not surprised that you would opt for the airy fairy false translation?

I have heard some people lie on their bed to read their bible and say their prayers.

We should be on our knees in front of God not lazing around. What if you fell asleep in the middle of a prayer? How disrespectful.

The NIV is a bastardized version

Here is a good article on what is wrong with it.

I have been reading the KJV since I was 6, so I cannot understand how people say it's too hard for them to understand.

You don't get to pick and choose which verses to believe, dear. Unless, of course, you believe you know better than God Himself?
