I'm sorry that all you want to see is punishment. please pray that these people make it through this rough time!

Brother, you are spot on. America's jails are packed to the gills with atheists. Many of them, in their depraved desire to increase the ranks of the Godless nationwide, lie and claim to be Christian! Others hate God so much that they convert to Islam. But almost none of them will honestly describe themselves as God-mocking atheists.

That would be influencing us in some way.

Do you not think it does not portray God to be hating on an entire country?
I'm not sure what you're asking. It is an accurate portrayal of God to be "hating on" entire countries. He hardened Pharaoh's heart, so Pharaoh wouldn't release the Hebrew slaves, so He could have an excuse to slaughter the firstborn of each Egyptian household. Sounds like hate on Egypt to me.

And can you please explain to me how the fact that someone doesn't worship the same way as you makes them a terrible person? I've seen some people who are not Christian and make no time for God in their life and they are some of the nicest, most generous people on Earth....they are LOVING. Now their salvation is between them and God.
I'm sure they're lovely people. And flammable. See John 3:18.

The good Lord has hearkened to our cry, friend!

FUKUSHIMA, Japan -- Japan suspended operations to keep its stricken nuclear plant from melting down Wednesday after surging radiation made it too dangerous to stay.

Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano said the workers dousing the reactors in a frantic effort to cool them needed to withdraw.

"The workers cannot carry out even minimal work at the plant now," Edano said. "Because of the radiation risk we are on standby," he said.

    ...

A U.S. nuclear expert said he feared the worst.
"It's more of a surrender," said David Lochbaum, a nuclear engineer who now heads the nuclear safety program for the Union of Concerned Scientists, an activist group. "It's not like you wait 10 days and the radiation goes away. In that 10 days things are going to get worse."

"It's basically a sign that there's nothing left to do but throw in the towel," Lochbaum said.

This verse shows the fact that we are to be neighbors to others like the Samaritan was to this man. Friend

    Which worse

    a) someone dying of radiation poisoning.

    b) someone spending eternity in Hell.

It goes without saying both or bad, but if such a clear act of God as this 9.0 + tsunami + reactor melt down is going to turn heads towards Jesus. That's what we are praying for friend!

People need to stop embracing the hate of secular science and embrace the unconditional love of Jesus before God has them killed (as they so richly deserve).

    My humble prayer:

LORD please smite the sinful foreigners who reject your teaching,
May your judgment shatter the inner-lining of Reactor 4, just like the trumpets at Jericho
May the world know your anger at it's sinful ways.

    YOUR WILL BE DONE

We are not taking Verses out of context, friend. You seem to be forgetting that Jesus was answering the question "who is my neighbour?" Answer, "the Samaritan."

Yes, we should behave like the Samaritan, so that we could be a neighbour unto other Christians.

It doesn't say that we have to see the people we encounter as neighbours as well. Only those who are like the Good Samaritan.

And in fact, the Bible forbids us to love people that hate God:

    2 Chronicles 19:2:
And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD.

This is what God says. We are not to love the ungodly. If you disagree with that, you disagree with the Holy Bible. That's how simple it is, friend.

Atheists hate us because they are blinded by Satan:

    2 Corinthians 4:3-5:
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

This is all very sad, of course. Their hearts are stubborn, and spit in Jesus' extended hand of Love.

Now that we're talking, I would like to draw your attention to our Introduction Forum, and introduce yourself, as forum rules require. Tell us about your church, your family and your favorite Bible Verse, and be sure to read this before you post.

My goal by posting was not to influence you in any great way whatsoever. My goal was to get you to think about your beliefs and ultimately find the truth on your own. I do not claim to be perfect in any way, shape, or form. I don't think I'm all that great, but I do know a little bit about God and his love. I know enough to tell you I don't know much...but that little I do know I'm confident in as a Christian. I'm not hating on this community, nor on it's members. I am simply being frank. Don't take me as a know it all, because I'm not. I simply aim to stir thoughts up within you. Do you not think it does not portray God to be hating on an entire country? And can you please explain to me how the fact that someone doesn't worship the same way as you makes them a terrible person? I've seen some people who are not Christian and make no time for God in their life and they are some of the nicest, most generous people on Earth....they are LOVING. Now their salvation is between them and God. But their actions as defines them as a person is all we are given to see. Some "Christians" are putrid piles of hate. Yet they go to heaven? What nonsense. The ONLY things that truly matter to God is if they learned to love AND knew Him.

Oh dear, by your logic bestiality should be okay, since it is Levitical. The New Testament mentions nothing about bestiality.

Okay, you didn't like the Leviticus reference. That's a bit too Old Testament for you.

    2 Timothy 4:1-5 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
    3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

You said everyone is our neighbor.

    Jesus said.

Luke 10:36-37 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

Not everyone is your neighbor. Only those who show Christian kindness and compassion.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. Only fellow believers are your brothers and sisters.

Matthew 12:46-50 While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.
Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Jesus makes it very clear that if even your family is opposed to your beliefs, they have to be cut out because He did not come to bring peace, but strife and conflict.

Luke 14:33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

That's absolutely incorrect. The Samaritan was the lowliest of the low. The man on the side of the road was a Jew. The priest nor the Levite helped him. Only the man who showed Christian mercy and compassion to the man of the side of the road was his neighbor.

Only one of the three was his neighbor. It is a reference that anyone can be a good person regardless of their born station in life. It's what they choose to do with it that counts.

Re: Please pray for Japanese nuclear reactors to meltdown

Well hello, forums! This is my first post on your forum, so feel free to beat the living crap out of me. You guys are ridiculous. Here's why:

    1) You wish that the Japanese die because they don't follow your religion?
That's terrible. Christ would never have thought anything like that. Just because someone doesn't worship the same way you do doesn't mean they are terrible people. I'm sure many of you use items created by the Japanese. If you drive a Honda, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Acura, Lexus, and the list goes on, these people BETTERED your life. They do more than just sit around on the computer praying that other people die.

    2) Many of you have wrong views on God.
If God doesn't listen to sinners, then how did you become saved? Did you NOT sin EVER? Were you born into a life of purity? Impossible. We have all sinned and alot of you are sinning by writing such crap about making others die. So, if you look at one woman with lust, BAM, you have sinned and God can no longer hear you. How on Earth does that work out? What happened to FORGIVENESS?

God is all Loving, Knowing, Hearing, Feeling, Seeing, and ALWAYS THERE. Love is KIND, it does not want. Does not want what? Does not want what God doesn't provide! The sheer fact that you guys are actually PRAYING for Japanese to die is disturbing. I hope to wake up from a terrible dream soon and realize that I made this whole thing up. But It isn't a dream. It's reality and it's the HATE that goes on in this forum is not of God.

Good luck with your prayers...I hope you have revelation about the TRUE God sometime before you die.

If you're going to make ridiculous assertions like this, back them up with scripture.
Tell you what, I'll quote scripture showing why you're wrong, then you try to counter with scripture showing you're right. Ready?

Matthew 5:18-19 Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or tittle shall nowise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven.

    Okay, your turn.

So, if you think those are relevant today, then if you cut your hair you are living in sin.
For women, only hellbound whores, feminazis, and lesbians cut their hair.

1 Corinthians 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

And so I have long hair and it will always be long, or are you trying to make a point?

If you eat meat you are living in sin.
Where does it say that? Is PeTA publishing their own Bible now?
