This story is so sad. It's no secret that the totalitarian chink dictatorship hates God and freedoms.
Still, I was under the impression that they were loosening up restrictions. Apparently not. From my link above.
So they are persecuting these Christians because their church is "illegal." The idea that the Chinese were getting easier on Christians comes with serious catches.
What!?
Oh sure. You can be a Christian in China as long as you follow the state sponsored brand of it. It would be akin to forcing Americans to join the Church of the Fearless Leader Obama.

Let's not give him any ideas.
Also Chinese Christians are not allowed to have Sunday School. How else can we teach children God's Word when they are young?
"Give me a child until he is seven and I will give you the man" Francis Xavier
How else are we supposed to get people to accept and understand the Bible? We need to be able to get them while they are young and impressionable. We also need a setting where all their peers are doing it too, so they don't feel different or ostracized.
No Baptism of minors either? That's truly horrible. My children were all Baptized by Pastor Zeke himself on their eighth birthday. It's a beautiful thing that we can extract an oath from our children in Church with their elders and peers watching that they will be Christians forever and that there's no turning back once they do this.
The families that wait until their children are in their teens before Baptism gives them a "cooling off period" where they are more likely to be seduced by the world or be less interested in God. They don't get much more excited for Jesus than when they are between the ages of 8 and 10. Shout glory!
The worst thing those people do to hamstring their believers with is the inability to evangelize. Oh, okay. I can be a Christian as long as I don't follow what Jesus said!!! You may consider it rude for us to go door knocking, Mao, but it's our duty as Christians to:
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
These restrictions the Chinese government has put on Christians are simply unconscionable, draconian and damns their followers to hell if they follow the rules even though they are to follow the rules as per Romans and 2 Peter.
So I would like to exhort you all to pray that God softens the hearts of the Chinese government or that He hardens them and unleashes plagues on the damned communists.
In Christ,
Pastor Will.

BEIJING (BP)--Despite restrictions due to the Chinese Communist Party's 90th anniversary, members of Shouwang Church in Beijing continued to meet outdoors July 3, leading to at least 19 arrests.
Church members defied the Chinese government for the 13th consecutive week with the outdoor service. The illegal church, which was evicted from its leased meeting space in April, reported in a translated statement on ChinaAid.org that police were waiting outside the church's designated worship site, an open-air plaza in northwest Beijing, and "only a few dozen people" were able to meet because, "many believers were under stricter detainment at home. Some individuals were taken to be detained in hotels nearby."

Only churches who are registered with the government and are members of the Three-Self Patriotic Church are considered legal. However, with registration come regulations that forbid evangelism, Sunday School, and baptizing minors
