Re: Please join me in praising the Lord for healing my sick dog!

Dogs are ten a penny, Rev. Rodimer. It's the training them to not attack only the Godly that's expensive

I suppose the question you have to ask yourself is whether you got value for money. Your suffering in terms of being easy pickings for secular vets to string you along is bound to have angered you.

I'm sure you will cheer up and next time just use a timely brick and tithe the money you would have spent on vet bills that just prolong the inevitable for a dog that can't do any work anyway. God put them here for our use! GLORY!

Well if you're looking for another dog, let me know. Do you want a hunting dog or a protection dog. Although I'm thinking of breeding the two together to see what I get

Thanks, Midge. That'd all be very helpful if my dog weren't dead for the past week, as I pointed out on 1/7:

I'd like to think that is why yesterday afternoon, hours after she ate standing up and on her own for the first time in two weeks, God reached down and stopped her enlarged and overworked heart as she lay in her bed.
She probably won't have diarrhea any more.

Praise Jesus, an i think that u must of rilly preyed hard, u seem like a nice faithfull person and i bet ur dog may have preyed too, the bible says that donkeys can talk in extreme circumstance, maybe dogs can prey? i even named my cat balaam and then wailed on him with a wet towel hoping she wood turn to me an say "midge, Am I not your cat on which you have petted, ever since I became yours, to this day? Was I ever disposed to do this to you?" an then i could go "wow that is so cool" but or a simple "no" like the real balaam, but the cat just ran under the sofa then when i got it out with a broom she ran outside and then got hit by a car oh well plus i preyed and preyed for god to turn me away form the midget lifestyle and i am hoping for a similar mirical, but in the mean time here are the top 5 Tips for Preventing Dog diareea:
    1. Don’t feed them fatty, sugary or spoiled people food, also avoid onions, dairy, citrus, grapes, raisins and chocolate +
    2. Keep them away from objects they can chew on or swallow such as plants or toys not specifically made for dogs +
    3. Have puppies vacksinated the right way and keep them away from animals that have not been vacksinated +
    4. Keep them on a steady and balanced natural dog food diet +
    5. Have their stool checked at least once per year – more often if you live in an area known to have dog worms

thats what my neighber told me she is a vet but i dont no from what war anyway i hope u find these tips really helpful and ur dog dont get diareea. Enjoy and GODBLESS U and UR dog.

From a couple of days ago to now, she went from eating on her own, to refusing food, to vomiting again.

Naturally, I prayed to the Lord. The vet gave her an oral dose of barium, which he said would coat her stomach and soothe it, and another anti-emetic (anti-vomiting) injection, along with a broad-spectrum antibiotic and prescription dog food (Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Low-Fat) at $2.29 a can. For the food, I had to spend the $10 I had set aside to give to the Christmas Feast for the Homeless, but clearly it's what God wanted.

Oh, and for the vet visit and the medicines, I had to spend the $230 I had planned to donate to the Home Energy Assistance Program, which helps poor people pay their heating bills in winter. But it's clearly what God wanted.

I am pleased to report that only an hour and a half after the barium and the injection, she happily ate nearly half a can of the expensive dog food all on her own! (Well, I encouraged. But didn't force it into her mouth.)

Praise the Lord! Once again, the efficacy of prayer is clearly demonstrated in my dog!
    Pastor,

You were going to donate money to a commie program, could this be why your dog got sick?

    Just asking

That's an excellent point, Brother Papist! God does indeed have mysterious ways.

I'd like to think that is why yesterday afternoon, hours after she ate standing up and on her own for the first time in two weeks, God reached down and stopped her enlarged and overworked heart as she lay in her bed.

There are several other Dobermans available in my area as rescue dogs. One I read up on was kept in a crate in a garage by an animal-hoarder for 6 years!

Maybe God decided my girl had gotten enough love for one lifetime, and it was someone else's turn.

Or maybe He's mad at me for taking her to the vet at all instead of just praying, and so He killed her to chasten me.

Knowing God, the second is probably more likely.

As long as you pray hard enough I'm sure your dog shall be healed!

If not then God is planning something (Good or bad).

Yes, He had to let Job's whole family be slaughtered by Satan just to teach Job a lesson!

Well, technically, to win a bet with Satan, but Job got a lesson anyway, when God told Job off for not being God.

    Um . . .

    Praise!

God regularly tortures and kills things to make some sort of point to us about how we are failing Him in some way. We should always thank Him for this. Every time I think of that kitten I praise God that he chose a dumb animal with which to instruct me and not one of my children.

My father had the stableman whip me three times across the back. It hurt, but I hope Jesus forgives me.

I had the thread of Mr. Reproda in my head, where also advice from Genesis is quoted. Again, I'm sorry.

I do believe "But she only drew blood once" and "One of the [kittens] even scratched one of [Mr. Reproda's] sons" are quite similar however. But I know better than to argue with a true Christian, since they're always right, so I'll keep my mouth shut.
