I don't really like either. Both are absurdly idealistic, they both point out the shortcomings of Capitalism and then proceed to suggest something that doesn't work at all on a national scale (It looks good on paper but the implementation will inevitably fail.). Capitalism is the worst economic system on Earth... except, of course, all the others.

Your idealism, however, stunningly exceeds Marx's if you think a corporation is an environment conductive to caring action. If you ever find one of the interior reports produced for any charitable donation made by a publicly owned corporation and you'll see the benefits (higher employee retention rate, increased morale, positive publicity, etc) to the company compared to the money given up for the charity. No decisions are made for a publicly traded corporation without questioning what the year-end financial report will look like afterward. Thats not a bad thing; its just the way corporations in general work.
