There is a HUGE difference between using terrified animals in horrid rituals to SATAN and petting a purring ball of fluff until you slit it's throat for a casserole or some Tom and Jerry tacos.

We don't eat cats because they are pumped full of crap by the vet. But we recognize that cats are food items like seals, owls and whatnot and we could eat them if necessary. The humane society is a prime resource for people who can't afford free-range turkey.
