  • Multiple wives to create more followers of Jesus

I was wondering what you True Christian men thought of having multiple wives. The good King Solomon had over 500 wives and 300 concubines. This would allow you to produce even more True Christian children to spread the True Christian faith.
    Revelations 6:16
"And said to the mountains and rocks,
Fall on us, and hide us from the face
of him that sitteth on the throne,
and from the wrath of the Lamb"

The Bible also commands us to obey secular law, otherwise we would be following in the wise footsteps of Solomon.

Re: Multiple wives to create more followers of Jesus

As a True Christian™ man of God once said here:

There is nothing wrong with the practice of polygamy per se, according to God's Holy Word. In fact there are several examples of Godly Men in the Bible holding multiple wives.

In Exodus 21:10, a man can marry an infinite amount of women without any limits to how many he can marry.

In 2 Samuel 5:13; 1 Chronicles 3:1-9, 14:3, King David had six wives and numerous concubines.

In 1 Kings 11:3, King Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines.

In 2 Chronicles 11:21, King Solomon's son Rehoboam had 18 wives and 60 concubines.

In Deuteronomy 21:15 "If a man has two wives, and he loves one but not the other, and both bear him sons...."

There are a lot more verses from the Old Testament that allow polygamy, but I think that the above are sufficient enough to prove my point.

Now I know that plenty of confused, liberal false Christians will try and tell you that Jesus came to rid us of the Old Testament laws. But I'm here to tell you that they are wrong. For Jesus said:

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Matthew 5:18
The only reason that we True Christians™ do not practice polygamy is that it is prohibited by secular law, and we are commanded to obey whatever the law of the land happens to be. This is the same reason the we refrain from holding slaves as well.

I'd like to add here that many of us are working hard to re-re-elect President Bush, with the goal in mind of ridding God's favorite country of these meddlesome unBiblical laws and re-establishing the Holy Bible as the law of the land.

As for the second part of your question on polyandry, or the practice of women having multiple husbands, God clearly prohibits such a perversion. A few months ago I wrote a piece on this very subject, which can be found HERE.

To summarize, 1 Corinthians 11 shows that a fundamental principle of the Bible is:-

God is the head of Christ
Christ is the head of man
Man is the head of woman.

I think it's pretty obvious that God expects Men to supervise women, and not the other way around.
