You guys should try out GTC Racing. They use actual purchaseable cars which are only slightly modified (I.E. Mustangs, Camaros, Corvettes, Vipers). Lots of passing, lots of skill, unfortunately lots of crashes because it's open to anyone with too little time and too much money. The only downside is it's only available on Speed TV because it doesn't have a huge following. I found out about it and got hooked by doing professional Autocross and Drifting with the SCCA. Two of the people I raced with formed a team and fielded a car a few years ago, it was a Mustang; I understand this is "GOD's own sports car" . They did pretty well but like I said it's hard to find the races on TV so I only saw them once in FL.

I would have to say, i throughly enjoy Formula 1 Racing, as well as nascar

but in my honest opinion, i enjoy watching the Grand-Am Racing much more, for they use hand-crafted cars built from the ground up

i believe it shows true skill, and how much faith they have have in God for keeping the man-made car together

Bernie Ecclestone, the man who controls Formula One auto racing, said Friday that he preferred totalitarian regimes to democracies and praised Adolf Hitler for his ability to "get things done."
In an outspoken interview with The Times of London, the 78-year-old British billionaire chastised contemporary politicians for their weaknesses and extolled the virtues of strong leadership.
Ecclestone said: "In a lot of ways, terrible to say this I suppose, but apart from the fact that Hitler got taken away and persuaded to do things that I have no idea whether he wanted to do or not, he was in the way that he could command a lot of people, able to get things done.
"In the end he got lost, so he wasn't a very good dictator because either he had all these things and knew what was going on and insisted, or he just went along with it ... so either way he wasn't a dictator." He also criticized democracy, claiming that "it hasn't done a lot of good for many countries — including this one [Britain]."
Instead, Ecclestone endorsed the concept of a government based on tyranny.
"Politicians are too worried about elections," he said. "We did a terrible thing when we supported the idea of getting rid of Saddam Hussein. He was the only one who could control that country.
"It was the same [with the Taliban in Afghanistan]. We move into countries and we have no idea of the culture. The Americans probably thought Bosnia was a town in Miami. There are people starving in Africa and we sit back and do nothing but we get involved in things we should leave alone."
[Max Mosley, a close friend of Ecclestone and president of the Paris-based world racing body the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, is the son of pre-World War II British fascist leader Oswald Mosley.

The end of yesterday's Firecracker 400 at Daytona is a perfect example of why NASCAR puts Formula One and Indy racing to shame. Nowhere would you find such a dramatic finish. Sure my favorite driver won, but I'm also a fan of Kyle Busch. I'm glad he was unscathed!

Surely NASCAR is God's favorite motor sport, and Tony Stewart must be His favorite driver. Jesus' loves the NFL and His favorite team is the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Holy Spirit prefers the NHL and favors the Pittsburgh Penguins.

In my experience, contrary to claims made by others earlier in this thread, Formula 1 typically involves MORE overtaking than its American counterpart races. OP has selected Monaco as a track upon which to pass comment, when in fact this track is the exception which proves the rule.

As has been said in other words, most Europeans look at a high-profile American race and wonder how on EARTH anyone can enjoy watching cars driving in perpetual ellipses.

If Jesus were a race car driver he would drive with the best and the best is NASCAR! I have no doubt that if our Lord and savior were a NASCAR driver the first thing he would do is put that homer Jeff Gordon into the wall.

I am sorry. I personally enjoy formula 1 racing as well as drag racing and dirt track racing but i have never been interested in nascar for some reason.

I prefer drag racing and NASCAR over Frenchula 1 car racing. I'm part owner of a local drag strip so I am fairly involved with the details.
I also own a prostreet to race myself whenever the mood strikes. 1280 hp Willys. It makes the quarter in under 9 with the radio playing and leather seats.

No they do not because there are people all over the world participating. Personally, after the races, I thank Jesus that no one got hurt.
