  • Godly American sports, i.e. Christian gambling.

I don't want any of you Euros with your handegg references to America's favorite sport in God's favorite country the U.S.A.

I would like to discuss football, baseball and basketball. I suppose, if you must, we can discuss the U.S. team at the World Cup, but only the U.S. team.

Let's see if Levi can predict which teams God finds to be the most worthy. Now, let's remember that betting is illegal in the U.S. If my picks don't work out, you owe me nothing. If you do, win really big (and I just know you will with Jesus on my side!) I expect a 10% cut to Landover.

Get your intercessory prayers ready. It's bowl/playoff season!

    Starting tomorrow,

AUBURN is an 8 point favorite to Northwestern.
A chubby little cherub is telling me that Auburn is going to cover easily. Northwestern is an Illinois school (where Barack Obama is "from".) They are also a perennial Big 10 joke.

Florida State is getting 2 1/2 against West Virginia. This matchup is intriguing for the fact that it is being played in Jacksonville, FL. It's basically a home game for the Seminoles. I'm going to go ahead and say, cash in the kids' college fund and bet FL State in this one!

Penn St. is favored by 2 1/2 vs. LSU in this matchup. My holy sources say, Big 10 teams traditionally don't fare well against SEC teams. Go ahead and dip into the 401k and take LSU in a cake walk.

Oregon vs. Ohio St. The ducks are getting four against the bucks. You can refer to the beginning of the season when USC exposed the Buckeyes for the slow clod-footed charlatans they are. This Oregon team is the real deal. This is my iron clad lock of the day! If you haven't taken out a second mortgage on your house, I suggest you do so now to get some action in this one.

The Cincinatti Bear Cats are getting 12 1/2 against Florida. I smell a blowout. I think Vegas has this one a bit low. Bet any remaining reserves you have on Florida.

Have a happy and proserous New Year with Jesus guiding my predictions!
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Re: Godly American sports, i.e. Christian gambling.

I'm a big USC Trojans fan (Southern California born and raised), so normally I don't root for the Ducks, but I called my bookie Carlo "Big Monty" Luciano today and put me down for ten grand on an Oregon win. This better be an "iron clad lock" Brother Levi, or there might just be an iron clad lock bearing down on your kneecaps...

    Just kidding.

But seriously, you really should pray extra-hard to Jesus that Oregon wins.

All right, I emptied my life savings and put it all on the ducks.
        I feel a tad bit nervous, but I trust a True Christian(tm)
BTW, what kind of ducks are they?
        Matthew:
5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled
10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Good, I was afraid it was those gooey ducks.

I just checked my satellite and indeed, I will be able to watch this game and my money!

Oops, apparently that cherub was a demon in disguise. There's practically no way Auburn can cover, since they are going to overtime.

No problem there, my friend. After all, you didn't say "iron clad" with that game!
It's getting ready to start now! I have my popcorn and am ready to make some money for the Lord! I'm feeling generous and may just tithe 11%!

                  I nailed this one!
Florida State beat them handily thanks to what I can only attribute to my prayers!

But, you're a Christian, so I can trust you.

Well, it's tied now and I do have to admit to being rather caught up in the action.
