""Spare the rod, spoil the child."

No, by correcting you are showing your loved one you really care. Words flow in one ear and out the other, especially if it is a female. A good bruise lasts for weeks.
I feel if she accepts her correction, she may have earned some forgiveness. If I provide forgiveness, it is after the weeping has ceased and the problem 100% rectified. If she is being especially ornery, I might consolidate all the incidents and multiple corrections, following up with a single forgiveness, say at the end of the month. A man only has so much energy.

I warned you about posting in the Men's Only section several times. I can only conclude that you are some kind of feminazi sent by satan to sissify the Men of Landover Baptist Church, and since you continue to defy me, I have no choice but to banish you from our midst.

    Enjoy hell.

We are merely pointing out the words that you (and others) have ignored.

You silly trouble maker. Learn how to read.

Mat 18:21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

Once you learn how to read you can read the KJV1611.

    Re: Discipline Of The Wife

This truly is an inspirational thread, so many wise words. Alas too late for me.

You may have read that my harlot of a wife strayed from my home and my love to seek out another. I know this was because of weakness on my part. If I had paid more attention and read the wise words within this thread then I might have been able to discipline her properly and therefore stop her from straying.

I have received letters from her asking me to 'take her back'. However, I now realise that to do this I need to show her discipline. I have purchased a rosewood cane (no thicker than my little finger), but before I make the next move I would like some advice, should I forgive her for her sin? what should I do with the homer soccer player whom she has knowledge of? Should I go to his club and confront him, or is all this sin down to my wife and my lack of discipline?

Ma'am, this is the MEN's ONLY forum. You're in the wrong place.

Please make a thread of your own in the "Introductions" section of the forum, so that we can properly greet you. Tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.

And if you're here to flame us, better take a look at THIS before making an even bigger ass out of yourself.

And if you need private counseling, click on the link in my signature. Discretion assured, pics a plus.

Yet you have no respect for anyone else. You come waltzing into our board which clearly says "unsaved unwelcome" then into the mens section to tell us about things that you don't understand. You're not even married!

Maybe after ten years of marriage, you'll understand your position in life, but until then, I think you should work on your skills as a housekeeper, not a mouthpiece.

Stop talking nonsense and start reading the Bible.

Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

    You maybe saved yet.

    1 Corinthians 11:3

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

    1 Corinthians 11:8-9

8 For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man.

9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

    Ephesians 5:22

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
