First off, ditch that NIV. In trying to make it "easier to read", they changed a lot of the meaning, and in fact DUMPED whole sections. Here's an example:

1 John 5:7 (NIV): "For there are three that testify:"

1 John 5:7 (KJV): "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

Notice how the NIV eliminates the reference to the Trinity?

My post that you MISquoted pointed out to the person I was responding to that the Bible says nothing positive about your wife's "feelings" or "emotions" (in fact there are many verses that imply you should ignore them completely, in order to save her soul), or anything that says men and women are equal (only that neither gets any leeway for sin), or that "there's no such thing as appropriate punishment" (where the Bible has many parts that deal with exactly that), or (the most laughable bit to anyone who has actually read the Bible) that you should LISTEN TO WHAT SHE HAS TO SAY.
And yet you don't bother to actually quote back the scriptures i posted to prove me wrong...right...well i'll get right on that in a second, since we have to use YOUR bible.

Colossians 3:19: Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.

1 peter 3:7: Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

1 corinthians 13:4-7: 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

1 corinthians 11:12: 12 For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.

So again i'm using scripture to point out where YOUR BIBLE screams that WOMAN IS EQUAL TO MAN oh wait...did i really just do that...woopsies! my bad!
Leviticus 18:22   Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

      Equal?

Last time I looked, I had lady parts, not those... dangley parts.

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

One reason why it's a good idea to introduce yourself before you barge in.

Nothing about equality there. The Bible also says to treat your slaves well (if they work hard and don't try to steal from you or escape).

...1 peter 3:7: Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered...
Weaker is a new synonym for equal, OK. I haven't been keeping up with the PC-speak.

...1 corinthians 13:4-7: 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things...
          Still no mention of equality.

...1 corinthians 11:12: 12 For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God...
That can be read many ways (and it still doesn't mention equality), but I think a few verses previously can help illuminate the meaning the authors were trying to convey:

1 Corinthians 11:8-9 "8 For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.
9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man."

That CANNOT be read in any way that endorses equality.

...So again i'm using scripture to point out where YOUR BIBLE screams that WOMAN IS EQUAL TO MAN oh wait...did i really just do that...woopsies! my bad!
Err, yeah, oops, because it doesn't.

            Re: Discipline Of The Wife

I have been blessed with a very obedient and religious woman, she rarely acts up and when she does, she quickly goes back to being obedient once punished appropriately. She has read the Bible and obeys its laws (Ephesians 5:22 - 5:24, 1 Timothy 2:13-14 etc.)
            Leviticus 18:22 Romans 1:24-27 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 1 Timothy 1:9 - 1:10 1 Timothy 1:9 - 1:10 Jude 1:7

Here is proof that homosexuality is indeed a sin, for all those out there saying otherwise. Got a problem with it? Romans 9:20

              Re: Discipline Of The Wife

I am sorry but if I had a wife she would not be allowed to use the phone unless it was monitored and recorded at all times.

An infraction of the rules would result In a backhand with loss of phone privileges and a would have to write a letter to Jesus asking to forgive her for her sin.

That's how it would start. A simple "women serve the lord back hand." Then a loss of privilege. Lastly she would have to Write a letter to Jesus asking him to forgive her.

What matters, dear friend, is whether God loves us (He does — Ephesians 2:4-5) and whether we love God back in the way that He commands:

[1 John 5:2-3 KJV] 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
