That pretty much makes you insane.

You're mistaken, friend. Jesus was clear about His disgust of unrighteousness. To that end, the Holy Bible speaks positively about discipline.

    Discipline is associated with love

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten
    Revelation 3:19

He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
    Proverbs 13:24

Discipline is associated with wisdom and understanding

The rod and reproof give wisdom
    Proverbs 29:15

but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding
    Proverbs 10:13

Discipline is associated with peace and righteousness

    Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous;
nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness
unto them which are exercised thereby
    Hebrews 12:11

There is no scripture whatsoever that speaks poorly of discipline, and seeing what good things the Bible tells us come from discipline, it begs the question, How can a man say he loves his wife and not discipline her when needed?

You can learn more about Biblical Christian Domestic Discipline here:

    I hope that helps.

    Where?

Where precisely in the Bible does Jesus tell us unequivocally that He is "disgusted with violence" ?

Please keep in mind that Jesus is God.

See this is the problem with not keeping women in line. YOU CAN'T EVEN FOLLOW SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS LIKE STAYING OUT OF A MENS ONLY SECTION!

So you want "correction" because you're into the kinky stuff? You burn the pot roast because you want to be spanked?

Well let me tell you little miss, I don't "spank". I also don't leave bruises.

And once again, Corrections are done to teach, Abuse is done out of childish anger.

Then again, sickular society has got so bad that it seems that the dog shitting all over the house is preferable to "abusing" the poor little beastie and teaching it to go outside. And look at the way kids act these days. If I acted that way I would have been beaten by the neighbor, sent home and then beaten by my father who would have received a phone call from said neighbor.

It wasn't abuse, it taught me how to be an adult and have some manners.

I know this must be part of God's plan but I feel hurt and betrayed. My wife is the sweetest woman in the world and she didn't deserve to be treated that way. I wish I could go back and do it over again, perhaps I could have been more subtle. I'll keep praying for guidance but I just want her to come back. This is not the way I envisioned this turning out, but God is in control and I'll let Him lead the way.

    Two totally different things.

How exactly is loving your wife conflicting with the the fact that wifes must submit to their husbands according to God?

Jesus only loves Christians, other He damns to hell. As a Christian, every bit of bible must be followed. There is no contradictions in the bible. Bible is the perfect word of God.

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

And yes I also know God commands the husband to be the leader of the family. Yet leaders can be unjust. If that is the case, then upholding God's law is priority, not upholding the leader's law.

So here is the conflict. The bible says to love your wife and everyone else. Loving them just as Jesus had loved us ( he never caused any physical not emotional harm to anybody). Really when I read the verses pertaining to marital submission the understanding I retained was that of partnership and not of dictatorship. For the husband and wife are one flesh. One shouldn't harm the other but build each other up , not crush the other.

For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God
    Romans 3:23

We all have sinned. We all are evil, if it were not so, Jesus wouldn't have came and saved us.Why? there wouldn't be a need to. yet the fact still stands that we are sinners and continue to sin. We also have no right to judge our brothers and sisters.

    Matthew 7:1-5 ESV

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.

    No Christian is without sin.
Yet, I see your point because it is faith that saves us and not good works ( Ephesians 2:8-10). Yet every time you lie, murder, cheat, steal, use God's name in vain; it doesn't take away the sinful nature. For those with TRUE faith , still know they do not have the right to judge another, to punish another ( unless in civil law; God says to obey civil law) because they know only God can do so.
