Re: Overwatch: Overdue For A Ban!
So why are you expounding on it in such detail on a site that is dedicated to discussing the One True(tm) Religion? And how can you possibly expend so much energy and commitment on a bunch of made-up characters in a make-believe world? Finally, why do you care so much about all this nonsense?
Is anyone going to be saved from eternal damnation by knowing all the ins and outs of a mere game? Will people overcome personal weakness by remembering all that in-depth information? Has anyone developed strength of character or personal integrity because they remember the silly names and powers and backstories of pretend people and creatures?
Even fluffy-bunny Christians who are going to hell for not really understanding and obeying all of God's Holy Word at least try to serve a purpose with their delusional fixations. They sometimes feed people or fix up shabby buildings in an attempt to do good.
But Overwatch devotees waste their time and lose muscle tone filling their heads with game lore about a world that doesn't exist and doesn't effect anything other than the bottom line of the game developers.
You mentioned a character who wants to "make the world a better place through technology". How has memorizing information about an entertainment franchise helped to make the world any better? How has it made your own life any better in any substantive way?
Many people find Landover Baptist offensive. At least we are trying to help the world see the Truth(tm) about the Bible and how it has been used to change the world. Hate us if you will. But at least the information we share matters.
If Overwatch went away tomorrow, no one's life would be poorer, except for the people raking in the big bucks coming up with names and backstories and graphic content that the gamers are charging to their parents' credit cards.
