Hypocritical, much? If you haven't looked into Christianity, if you haven't read the Bible for yourself, you can't complain about it.

Now let us see what 'a thousand-year-old book' can tell us about the issue above.

        Psalms 109:2
For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

Oh, dear, it is bad news!

        Revelation 22:15
For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Fortunately, I have also good news. I'll pray for you! Please accept this as a token of my Love towards you sinners!

        Yours in Christ,

As my Christian Brother Pim mentioned already, we are warned in the 1st book of Thessalonians to avoid appearance of evil. I would like to point out that the Word of God also tells us that false prophets will appear in sheep's clothing. (Matthew 7:15) This means that all manner of depravity might appear innocent upon first sightation, but a closer investigatory viewing will reveal the demonic underpinnings of the actual makeup of the object in questionization. If God warns me about it, that's all I need to steer clear of it.

It seems to me this discussion has outlived its life. The True Christian(TM) opinion is the only one that matters, since all others are inspired by the father of lies (John 8:44).

Heavenly Father God, I just pray today that You will reach out, Father God, and with Your loving Hands, Father God, You will touch those whose souls have been rendered black by the ignorant playing of video-based sin-tertainment. Father God, You and You alone have the ability to wash their brains free of desire for things that displease you and bring you displeasure. In the HOLY Name of JESUS, I just pray Father God that you will just take time out of Your busy schedule, Father God, and remove the lust that makes games like Watchover and others so appealing to sinful, dark souls (i.e., everyone who plays this and other games). I claim victory in Christ Jesus and ask that Your Son's Blood will coat game systems all over this nation and other less important nations, Father God, that Your Name will be glorified and honored forever and ever until the 12th of never, AMEN and AMEN. PRAISE GOD !!!!!!!
          Proverbs 21:31 KJV 1611:
“The horse is prepared against the day of battell: but safetie is of the Lord.”

Lord, may I serve my equine brothers and sisters just as I do my fellow man.
          Amen and Amen

That wasn't complaining about it that was describing it cause it is a thousand year old book because it was written around the time of Jesus which was about 2 thousand years ago

So no that wasn't complaining about the Bible

Christianity is based on the Bible. It would be useful to familiarize yourself with it before you try to persuade us of anything.

You know, there's this thing called the Internet. It allows you to look up Bible verses on certain topics. Maybe that would be a good place to start.

Do these "Christians" consider you a friend? If so, they are breaking God's law.

2 Cor 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

And if they don't obey all of God's law, they aren't Christians.

Jas 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

How can they be Christians if they don't love Christ? And they don't love Him if they don't keep His commandments.

They don't love Christ. Their association with you is proof they don't follow His commandments.

                          2 Jn 1:9-11
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Obviously, the Jesus they think they follow is one of their own imagination, not the one revealed in the Bible.

Is there proof that he did? No. We only have what people stated. We don't have a time machine to see if any of this actually happened. The same with the existence of God. The Bible was written by man because supposedly God told them what to write. Is there any way to prove this? No.
See, what you just did here? It's the nascent stirrings of a possible forum member.

You framed a few questions. You offered some possible responses. Nothing much in the way of compelling information, but you refrained from personal attacks and your writing was clean and correct.

Respect to you, my friend. According to the Bible, you're still headed to hell, but you may have noticed that we have a few forum members who are not in agreement with official Landover Baptist doctrine. We, True Christians(tm), permit them to join in our discussions because they know how to disagree with us without being disagreeable.

For all I know, they get together on Sunday mornings to smoke weed and laugh at us for believing in the Bible. But at least they have the courtesy to do it behind our backs. Here, on our website, they actually adhere to an unwritten rule known to polite people the world over: When you are a visitor to someone's house, you don't trash-talk their taste.

When on someone else's turf, you "make yourself comfortable" only when invited to do so. Even then, you might sit on the couch, but you don't take off your shoes (except in Japan, maybe.) and put your stinky feet on the coffee table next to their grandmother's antique candy dish. And you don't fart in their face.

Now, I am not implying that you have done any of these things, (despite the "dirty" part of your name) but many of the visitors to this site have done so, metaphorically, of course.

They come into our parlor, they tell us that our furnishings are out of date or downright ugly and they leave their muddy boot prints on the carpet. Then they look down at the dirt they smeared and criticize our housekeeping.

You, I have hope for, based on that last post. Sure, maybe you don't really want to consume the (metaphorical) cookies that we serve. But you're polite enough (I'm hoping) to take a sip of tea and explain that you're diabetic or allergic to nuts or whatever, so you can't eat the cookies, but thanks for the offer. Perhaps you will be able to look at our (to your mind) old-fashioned or garish decor and say something like, "you keep a lovely home." That's a polite way of acknowledging that we try to make things nice, even if it's not to your taste.

At this point, I want to apologize if it seems like I'm patronizing you. I'm really just trying to spell things out to the other hundreds of visitors to our site whose mothers never taught them how to behave in proper company.

The problem for many of them is that their mothers loved them sooo much, that they forgot that not everyone is required to tolerate their cute little antics in a public place. There are different rules for different places and yes, there are different rules for different people. If the CEO of your company is addressing an audience, you don't speak to him as if you were hanging out with your co-workers during a smoke break. (I had a co-worker who did that once, and she was shocked that her "good numbers" didn't protect her from being let go.)

Anyway, I have strayed nearly a continent's span from the topic, and I will apologize and desist. I was just so taken aback from the tone of your post, my friend. Thank you for calmly broaching a differing point of view on the overarching theme of this forum and all of it many threads, i.e. the Bible and what it means for a troubled world.

It's okay when God commands it.

                                Deut 20:16-17
16 But of the cities of these people, which the Lord thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth:
17 But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee:
