Sorry for not using paragraphs! I should have probably done that and I apologize for the inconvenience.

Re: Overwatch: Overdue For A Ban!

I would gladly discuss my faith! I have been a part of my church since i was born. I am an active member of my youth group and have even been on multiple mission trips! It was around the seventh grade that I was truly secure in my faith because I was going through very hard times then. I believe that I have grown to be a better person surrounded by my family at my church and I hope to be able to spread that support to those who need it.

No, you were not. Next time, use less words. I have a headache only for trying to read you.

        Thank you very much.

I'll keep that in mind for the future! Thank you for the input. To put it VERY shortly, most of the information about the characters listed in the original post is assumed and has not basis of proof. Also just because other religions are in a game, it doesn't mean that that game is specifically trying to turn people away from their Christian faith.

Well, as we all should be praying without ceasing, playing ANY game is sinful (maybe with the exception of the manly sport of Football, and with that I mean AMERICAN football)

1 Thessalonians 5:1717 Pray without ceasing.

And you should refrain from ANY appearance of evil, it does not matter if they are trying to turn you away:

1 Thessalonians 5:22 - Abstain from all appearance of evil.

So, to be clear: stop playing this game, start reading your Bible ALL THE TIME.

Sorry I have to go to read mine, back later.

Well, you can't literally pray 24/7 because you'd die of starvation so... Also, what's wrong with soccer? Finally, I understand that reading the bible is important, but you have to take some time smelling the roses you know? Exploring the world and stuff. While it is always good to praise God, you can't just never go see all the cool things to do in the world like play video games, hiking, eating cool foods and such. God gave us our lives to speak praise, but he also wants us to experience life to the fullest. I feel as if you are taking the Bible a little bit too literally. You of course have full right to your opinion and there's no way that taking the bible more literally is "wrong," but I just happen to see a lot of scripture in the bible to be taken metaphorically. I also understand if you don't think video games are a good use of time, everyone has their own opinion. I just wanted to clarify that Overwatch isn't some scheme to pull people away from Christ.

SOLUTION: pray when you are eating.

Joshua 1:8 - This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

There is no other way to take the Bible. It is either literally, or Hell. You do not really want to go to Hell.

James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

Otherwise, you think that your interpretation is better than the word written by God. Isn't it a little presumptuous?

Re: Overwatch: Overdue For A Ban!

Most of those things about soccer were kind of ridiculous. First off, soccer takes little skill to play, but TONS of skill to master. And why is it bad that France is good at soccer? There's nothing wrong with France as a whole so I don't see the issue. Also I know plenty of people who play soccer, and they're all straight so that disproves that. Also, a sports supporter's does not define the sport. If some fans are violent, it doesn't mean that the sport itself is bad. Dude, ANY hobby is gonna make it so you have less time reading the bible. Having a hobby isn't a sin it just means you're doing something you like. Everyone has multiple faults, but are in the end saved through their repentance so me, you, and everyone else has at least one flaw that makes us unworthy. You can read the bible all you want, but unless you accept Christ and all of that stuff (Which you undoubtedly have, which I'm very happy to hear!) all of those actions don't mean anything. Now I am not a Babtist, so my denomination may do things a bit differently, but I believe in God and accept Jesus as my savior, and to us, that's good enough. Of course we read our bibles too because it's the right thing to do.
Though you still haven't really said anything on the Overwatch department. Do you think the game is evil just because it's a hobby? Or is there another reason?

I would also like to add that you like football right? Well, at the bottom of the article, it pretty much calls anyone who plays a sport (Through giving examples of a high multitude of them) a sinner for playing it. So where do you stand on that notion?

I said "maybe". Iti is probable that it is a sin as well. I am not American so I don't know the specifics of that sport.

About your other questions, there are "threads" for a reason. Please keep on topic.

And the original poster has explained in detail why it is a sin to play this game. I just addressed your point on "other religions" appearing, and how that is sinful.

For the record: I could not care less if you play this game or not. You are the one going to hell, so why would I care?

Well, this whole thread's premise is talking about whether or not Overwatch should be banned so I thought you had a point of view? Also, why am I going to hell exactly? I believe in Christ, I go to church and youth group, I pray, so I don't see the issue. Playing a video game doesn't send you to hell; not believing in God and Jesus does so I should be fine. And on the point where you say to take it literally or to go to hell, you realize that there's a part in the bible that basically says that if your arm commits a sinful action, to cut it off to show your separation from said sin. Now I see that as a metaphor for not dwelling on one's sins, because if I took that literally, I wouldn't have any limbs and neither would you, so I don't see why the people who wrote the different books of the bible couldn't have used literary devices to get a point across.

Oh, my hands are safe, you see, here is the actual scripture:

Matthew 5:30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not thatthy whole body should be cast into hell.

Since I became a True Christian, I have never sinned again. True Christians are perfect.

I am afraid it is impossible for anyone to be perfect. You screw up every day as do I. Not a single day has gone by where you have not sinned. That's why God reaches out to us, to save us from ourselves. That's the whole reason Jesus died on the cross. John 3: 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life." We're only saved because Jesus took our place, not because we make ourselves perfect through reading scripture. Also, what's up with this whole "True Christian" thing? I'm just as much of a Christian as you and you're not better than other people just because of the religion you choose. Yes, those who aren't Christian go to hell, but that doesn't mean you can treat them as lesser people. God loves all people equally, regardless of what they look like or if they even believe in him. He loves us all, you included. I know I have sounded slightly abrasive in the past few texts, but I am having this debate with you to purely understand your point of view. I do not dislike you in any way, even though you've told me I'm going to hell multiple times. I just hope that maybe I have some impact on how you view the world, so you could lead a more relaxed and happy life, while still being secure in your faith.

Please refer to the thread I quoted before. Imperfection is for sinners, and True Christians are commanded to be perfect

Matthew 5:4 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

So if you are not perfect, you are just disobeying the Bible. Again.

We're only saved because Jesus took our place, not because we make ourselves perfect through reading scripture.
There is an "AND" connector lost there. We need both things to get into Heaven.

Also, what's up with this whole "True Christian" thing? I'm just as much of a Christian as you and you're not better than other people just because of the religion you choose.
It depends on what do you mean by "better". I am biblically better than non true Christians, for sure.

Can I be called by filthy liberals a "sociopathic weirdo and dangerous to other people around me"? Yes, they have called me that. Only for reading the Bible loud in front of Abortion Clinics, and things like that.

Yes, those who aren't Christian go to hell, but that doesn't mean you can treat them as lesser people. God loves all people equally, regardless of what they look like or if they even believe in him.
Yes, I can, I should, and I will, because Jesus is xenophobic and so should we.

I know I have sounded slightly abrasive in the past few texts, but I am having this debate with you to purely understand your point of view. Happiness comes with True Cristianism. That leads to a relaxed, happy, and wealthy life. Come to the light, my friend, and be an achiever instead of a liberal dreamer.
