Now see, I would argue that someone who is so devoted to a game* that he or she can't tolerate the idea of other people who don't luuuuv it the same way that they do is the one who has maxed out his or her potential.


And not only are you in no position to insist that people stop insulting the game, you are so lacking in perception that you don't notice that most of the insults are aimed at the gamer mentality, not the game.


Furthermore, not one word posted here delivers a "burn" of any consequence. Nobody here needs cold water, or aloe vera, for that matter. Some of us may be in need of a hernia operation, due to gut-busting levels of amusement, but that's the risk one undertakes when defending the Truth(tm).

You fail to see that we live under American Law. We can do as we please as long as it abides by the law. Your son can play any game he wants that abides by the law. Meaning, it is not banned for any reason.

Yes, you are his parent. You do have a say on what he can or can not play.

Calling Jesus an 'edgelord' isn't a title you want to pin on a figurative being you love so deeply. An 'edgelord' is a young kid who tries to be cool. Since when did Jesus, or God, for that matter, fit into this category.

Personally, I don't care much or the game but, that doesn't mean I won't defend it against ludicrous claims such as yours.

You were right in the sense that you were doing things as a parent. As a religious preacher, no. As a parent, you can control what your children play. That I have no problem with. When you openly try to condemn your child as a sinner. That, just makes no sense.

The point has been raised before. Yes, the historical record confirms that there are deceptive persons out there who lie about spiritual matters. Popes would be a good example of that.

That is pretty strong evidence which supports our claims. Indeed it is because the evidence is so robust that we are confident when we proclaim the Good News about Jesus. Of course the gamer community could also present evidence but so far all I've seen is claims.

I'd rather let God do my thinking for me than trust to my own lowly powers of reasoning.

Anyway, why don't you head over to the introduction forum and tell us where you go to church, your favorite Bible passage and how you found Jesus? We'd like to get to know you better.
