Re: Fallout 3: Another Satanic, Violent game from "Oblivion" crea
"Then why are you here?
Jesus and religion are pretty strongly tied together, last time I looked, bucko. Can't have one without the other. Makes you look a tad retarded, making comments like you do"
Haha. I've been laughing at this forum, as your close-minded and anti-person beliefs are just amusing. I will first answer your second comment, where you stat that Jesus and Religion are tied together. Perhaps you should inform the Jewish people of that.
Seriously though, you are wondering why people are here. You all, like former Lawyer Jack Thompson (who was disbarred over his petty feud against video games), are the laughing stock of thousands of gamers. This forum has been pointed to as a comedy show. A place where we can laugh our behinds off at ignorant people who spread the word of god like it is the law. It's not even the laugh within your own religion, as I know of numerous pastors and priests who, while they don't play video games, see them as harmless.
If you all try to take on the Video Game Industry, you will lose. First off, there are tons of violent video games, and it has been proven by numerous studies that they do not cause kids to be more violent. Second off, even if your god exists, he will not help you put thousands of people out of jobs. Nor would the government, as our economy is terribly fragile at the moment. It also helps that these games are protected under laws of free speech.
Really. It is a game that you have over analyzed. With those short minded views, I could turn the bible into a book strictly about punishing anyone who doesn't obey the voices that claim they are god in their own heads. I could also claim that there is more proof to discount the existance of your god and thus he cannot exist. Really though, games don't cause violence. In fact, studies have shown they may actually decrease them...and that movies have more of a push for causing violence. Yet I don't see you all trying to ban Hostel.
Really, I look forward to the short-minded answers that will no doubt follow. They should provide a fresh surge of entertainment while I play Diablo 2. Check that one out next, I look forward to the Short-Minded vs. Battle.net.
