Praise Jesus! If you click the "Are you a sinner?!?" link at the bottom of my sig, it will take you to a page that features a great sinner's prayer, written by me, so that you can accept Jesus Christ as your savior. What is important to remember is that you have to genuinely and honestly want Christ in your life. No games, no tests, otherwise He won't come.

Once you've accepted Christ as savior, your next step is to start reading and studying the 1611 King James Bible. If you cannot afford one, you can always go down to your local independent Baptist church and ask for a free copy. They will be happy to give you one. If not, you can read the Bible many places online for free. A good site I recommend is www.biblegateway.com

See! He admitted what Fallout 3 does to people! This is exactly why I have been speaking out against this game!

It will remain to be seen whether or not you have honestly become a Christian or you are lying to us. For the benefit of the doubt, I will assume you are genuine in your conversion.

Actually, I have an entirely different viewpoint of this game.

As many of you know, I constantly screen movies and video games for my younger brother, so that his impressionable young teenage mind may not be corrupted by filth. And while there are games out there such as Grand Theft Auto and Assassin's Creed that require you to take on the role of unholy filth, I do not think Fallout 3 is as black and white as it seems.

During a game like Grand Theft Auto where the player MUST steal, murder, and commit acts of fornication in order to progress, Fallout takes a different approach. Here, the player is presented with a nuclear ravaged version of Washington DC, with unholy beasts and raiders, radiated bodies of water, and corrupt morals. The entire world is open and any task can be accomplished by any means necessary. You can act like heretic scum, or play the game as a true Christian.

During the early stages of the game, there is a man who is with-holding information from your main character. He will give you the information in exchange for a favor. Now, this man is an alcoholic and a pimp, and now he's trying to earn a quick buck from you, the player. You can shoot him in the face and steal his password for his computer and find the information you need. Or you can take the path God would choose for you and run the errand. Let the pimp scum be punished by God, when He decides it is time.

The Good Reverend is correct... the player can have sex with prostitutes, do drugs, murder innocents, and the like. The difference between this game and others is that they DO NOT HAVE TO. The player can play with their God given free will.

The open world in Fallout 3 allows you to complete any task in any manner. While certainly it is easier to be a bloodthirsty and immoral heathen, it is more fulfilling to be a good Christian and play the game the right way. If anything, giving a player a simulation where he must choose his own path is very lifelike, and while observing what moral decisions he will make when put up to the pressure is a great way of determining if they are a good person, or a satanic God-mocker.

Personally, I played through Fallout 3 long enough to know that he may play the game, but only observation. He may play as long as he takes the moral highground. If at any point he decides to devour a corpse, I will send him to his room and lock him in there until he has prayed for enough hours.

Well, that is a potty mouth. Your mommy know you speak like this?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Hmm...now I am starting to regret helping you achieve "Forum Member" status when you write stuff like this that comes from Unsaved Trash.

Obviously you have not been reading the posts in this thread because several times people have brought up the exact same point as you of everything being a choice, and I've responded that the choice does not matter -- what's important is this Satanic filth is in the game in the first place!

Think of it in different terms: Suppose there was a cave in Fallout 3 where you could go into and view child porn videos. This cave is completely optional and you do not need to go in there. Would you be so quick to defend Fallout 3? "True there's child porn in there but you don't have to see it! Nothing wrong with the game!"

I certainly see your point. It is also why I don't and will not play this game on my own accord.

I can say the world is an evil place. It's filled with child porno shops and crystal meth labs all over. Yet, despite this, there are places like my church and places like Freehold that are good.

I am not saying this stupid game is worth playing. I am just saying that what makes it wrong is up to the player.

This is absolutely disgusting and horrible! Thank you, Reverend for showing this to us. I heard Fallout 3 was a Godless game, but I did not think it was this bad.

I will get my friends to petition the banning of this game. I hope Todd Howard and his goons rot in hell for poisoning the minds of our children!

There are plenty of gamers and people on gaming forums that literally plays this game like a religion. It needs to STOP. NOW.

Let's pray that this game is banned for good!

Ha Ha, good luck banning a game. Who do you think you are? You have no right to ban anothers work, that is why there is this little thing called "freedom of the press" No matter how much you complain they will not ban it. And guess what? They're making more of the Fallout series. And if you think this one is bad, check out Fallout 2. There are prostitutes on almost every street in some places. And you can't do a thing about. It doesn't feel good to be powerless, doesn't it.

As for Fallout 3, you really are too ignorant to actually pay attention to what people say about the good points of the game, and really there is absolutely nothing to suggest this game is "satanic"

Thank you! Now I'm gonna go play Fallout 3 and murder dozens of people for fun.

What gives you the right to say who can be a "True" Christian or now? Isn't that only God's place to do that kind of judgment? My grandma is an amazing woman and lives her whole life by the bible.
