Perhaps not. But it does increase the chance that you will do it. So video games are bad for people for that reason. Just like smoking increases the chances you will die of cancer. Even though not everyone immediately drops dead when they smoke their first cigarette, by now almost everyone agrees it is very bad for you. The same applies to video games but unfortunately a lot of people, you included, are still on denial for that.

I hate the Bloody Mess perk.

I used to laugh when I blew people's legs off in the game and watch them stumble around like ragdolls, but ever since I've got the Bloody Mess perk, they just explode into a red mist. Where's the fun in that?

Hello Zurosiel, you seem like a nice person. Could you please do something for me? Please take two small forks and take one in each hand. Now go look for the nearest electrical outlet. Now please put the left fork (use the back as it is smaller) with your left hand into the left hole of the electrical outlet. Make sure to keep a tight grip on the fork, do not let it go! I feel that I could contribute to this conversation. Now I'm not one to play the video games, but I do own a gun store.

Day in and day out, I see all kinds of customers, from fathers bringing their little boys in to buy them their very first hand guns, to hunters looking for armor piercing rounds, to Landover Church Security always browsing for the latest in Christian self-defense.

You know what they all have in common? They are all decent white Christian folks. None of them are looking for trouble, they are all trustworthy individuals.

There's nothing dangerous about a gun store. Guns don't inspire people to go on murderous rampages. Video games do. If you want to feel scared, take a stroll through your local computer store, and look at all the diabolical, satanic games that are being marketed towards our children!

Which makes YOU feel more frightened? The fact that there are millions of trustworthy white gun owners who enjoy hunting and occasionally showing off with guns (which is wrong because it is prideful), or the fact that any kid can walk into Wal-Mart and buy any murder simulator he wants, that will teach him how to kill indiscriminately, use drugs, hire prostitutes and disrespect authority?

What kind of twisted mind enjoys sitting in front of a screen shooting at cartoon characters when he could be out in nature gunning down rabbits, dear, raccoons, and other types of pests?

This is an incredibly pathetic post. Sure, the game is violent and the player can perform illegal acts, but you're very simple minded to think this game is satanic. People enjoy these games because of their features. I for one have played this game and thoroughly enjoyed it, yet I have no desire to kill a man or have blow up a city. Killing a virtual man made of pixels is much different from killing a man made of flesh. Do you show sympathy for a pixelated character? A player will not think twice of killing an NPC and people like you ruin the people who enjoy these games. I'm sorry to tell you that everything about this thread is wrong and I actually pity you that you need to fufill your life with such pointless whining. Do you honestly reckon that people will play this game, kill a virtual character created by a cluster of pixels and then the next day do a school shooting? No, what will cause a school shooting is an extreme medical problem, not going out and buying a copy of Fallout 3 or Oblivion.
