Re: Fallout 3: Another Satanic, Violent game from "Oblivion" crea
I hope all of you listen to what I am about to say:
I personally play the game, and I like it. Not because of the bad things you talk about here, but because of all of how it shows all of the bad things that could possibly happen to us, that is if God let it happen, or another country. The game has a karma system, so the player can't just be bad, but good if they want. I personally like to be a good character, mostly because I don't like people yelling at me (For those that don't know, if you have bad karma you aren't really regarded highly in the Wasteland), and attacking me on sight.
I also play the game because I'm a fan of armor, and this game has some really cool armor. Well, there are some evil looking ones. By evil I mean black with horns. I'll try to find a picture.

Wow, I didn't think the picture would be that large.
Also, for the "Blowing up the bomb" part, there is also an option to disarm the bomb, resulting in a lot of good karma.
For the whole "killing" part of this topic, I have read topics about how there are ways to go through the entire game without killing anything but a simple bug. Please, don't think off me as evil, but I use the "Bloody Mess" perk. I just stumbled upon this topic today, so I didn't view the game as you all do.
Now, for my favorite part, because I like to have a house and stuff in video games:
For the computer version of the game, there is something called a G.E.C.K. editing tool. (G.E.C.K. stands for "Garden of Eden Creation Kit", involving purifying the wasteland. The Garden of Eden Creation Kit is used in the story as an actual purifier, but only an editor in the computer version. I guess the makers of the game used G.E.C.K. because the story version was able to create life where there once was none, much like video game editing programs.)
Using the G.E.C.K., players could rebuild the wasteland (I've seen well done modifications with the Wasteland having beautiful green vegetation, much like what the story G.E.C.K. does. I feel like I'm using the word G.E.C.K. too much), creating houses and such.
I just noticed that I'm sort of advertising the game. I think that doesn't help what I'm trying to say here.
In short, it's a free play game, the player can do whatever they wish. They can be good, bad, or even in between. There are achievements for karma, as well.
Messiah, if the player reaches the highest level with very good karma.
I'm not sure of the neutral one.
And, unfortunately, an achievement for being very evil at the highest level.
Plus, it is NOT intended for children. I play the game, I'm fourteen, but I have been raised by a christian family to not get taken over by this sort of thing. I also don't let the eleven year old my grandmother babysits play the game. It has a rating of "M for Mature", so if people under the right age, or the right mindset (I say that because I'm under eight-teen), play the game, it's the parent's fault.
Also, if you haven't noticed I sort of ramble on about my favorite aspects of games (NOT THE KILLING! THE G.E.C.K. AND GOOD KARMA PARTS!).
