Quick question here Reverend; if God has not expressed an opinion on a particular subject, then how do you form an opinion on said topics? I assume that you use the Bible's teachings to, but I just wanted to make sure.

Opinions, however, are not fact. You cannot possibly know what God is thinking, and the bible can only be part of something so awesome. Remember, He created the world, and there's both the great things (sunsets!) and the vile things (child porn!). Why would he not want such a game to exist, if he allows both good and evil to exist?

That's actually a good question. How do we apply God's teachings in modern day with new circumstances? Fortunately, the Bible provides a base for all morality. For example, why is Fallout 3 bad in the eyes of God? In my original post I quoted several pertinent Bible verses that explain why it is so. Verses dealing with violence, sexuality, doing evil, drinking, etc. are all in the Bible. The Bible is eternal and will apply forever.

Psalm 119:160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

Isaiah 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Many people misunderstand me and think that I personally have something against Fallout 3. This is not so. God Himself hates Fallout 3. I believe what God believes.

            O RLY?

you know what. I am 15 I play video games ( including Fallout 3 ) and I am just fine. I get good grades A's And B's I am a programmer. I use
            C++
            C

            and C#

            I enjoy making games.

playing violent games do not corrupt everyone. I would never think of hurting anyone in real life just because of something I see in a video game, if I did I would go to jail for a very long time. I want to become a professional Software engineer ( programmer ).

just so you know I am a perfectly nice person and not corrupted in any way at all

As a matter of fact, we know what God is thinking. He has left His words for us in the Holy Bible.

2nd Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Therefore we can base our moral judgements on the Bible (The Word of God(c)) and know what God deems righteous or iniquitous.

So, instead of ignoring me, tell me what you 'believe' God would think about Fallout 3 when He allows both good and evil to exist. Please note that he CREATED both good and evil, and has yet to purge either side.

Aren't you putting words in gods mouth? You are making a assumption that God hates Fallout 3, which may or may not be true. You do not know for a fact that god hates this game, and you claim to only have the opinions of God.

You can say that YOU hate the game, but you can not speak for God on this matter.

Well I'm glad you understand that God created both good and evil. You must then be familiar with this quote...

Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

However, while evil is allowed to exist, it doesn't mean that God approves of it. God commands us to be good Christians and follow the Bible. In this verse, Paul tells us to stay away from negative influences (such as Fallout 3)

Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

While evil may exist in the world, it is up to you to resist its temptations and stay on the path to Heaven. Jesus Himself told us that the road to Heaven is narrow, but the road to Hell is wide.

Like I said, I know God hates Fallout 3 based on the Bible. The game is certaintly anti-Biblical, thus anti-God. Since I am a pastor with over 45 years experience, have written over 2500 articles, papers, and commentaries on the Bible, and am host of a televangelist program that has been seen in over 90 countries, I am more than qualified to know what God thinks.

As a pastor and Biblical scholar, I can make correct judgements to determine whether something is what God would like or wouldn't.

Psalm 37:30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
