the correlation of drug use and preferred music genres is just that correlation not causation. a large variety of things lead to drug abuse but none of them are really genre related. of course you can exposure to idols who promote drug abuse can be a small factor in the overall scheme but truthfully it depends much more heavily on physical influences in the everyday life of the individuals like their temperament if a person is naturally predisposed to anxiety or depression they may try drugs to diminish symptoms or make them manageable (especially with the stigma attached to mental illness). the home environment of the individual whether they feel underappreciated, abused, unloved, forgotten, or hated. the general thought is that people who abuse drugs got into them from peer pressure or the influence of musicians and other celebrities but the truth is that has little to do with it. peer pressure may be a big part for some but what allows addictions to become so overwhelming so quickly aside from the bodies natural reaction to the flood of foreign chemicals from the drugs is the feeling they get when high. they lose coping skills and the ability to try to work through their problems so if they already have some to begin with it speeds it up. people use drugs as an escape it shouldn't be done it's a death sentence in it's own way if they don't have knowledgeable caring people around them to aide them in their recovery. and why would a great all powerful being condemn his own creations to an eternity of suffering for enjoying the life he gifted them without harming others?

Your assurances of what the "truth" is are nothing but vain rationalizations of the sinner, hoping against hope that he will not be flayed for all eternity as a main feature in Satan's Summer BBQ of Torture for refusing to believe the wonderful facts of Jesus miraculous, virgin birth, epic life, temporary death, resurrection, and ascension into the clouds way, way up high, all the way to Heaven. First stating that God hates us all (Most likely True™ if you assume it is addressed to you and me and you were to ask the True Christians™) and then, let me quote from your source, the singer is complaining of a ¨rise of pure hypocrisy¨ and subsequently stating he ¨hates everyone equally¨, ergo: He too hates us all.

Not true. Not only does metal most assuredly NOT "rule," it's populated with liars and deceivers and the worst of the worst - false prophets (Matthew 7:15). Consider the lead singer from the so-called Christian metal band, "The Order of Elijah." When their album Dethrone came out in 2013, they even told one publication that the name was a reference to Satan, "an enemy of ours who we will stop at nothing to kill." In reality, they are Satan's bitch. In his facebook page, he explains his road to Perdition.

One Sunday morning there was a sermon that spoke about Elisha and the bears. After a large group of children make fun of Elisha for being bald he curses them in the name of god (which I thought was a commandment not to do). God sends out two female bears to rip the kids apart limb from limb. Now this story disturbed me. I thought “I’ve read the whole bible, how did I overlook this?” So I began asking some questions and found each person had a different apologetic answer for this story. Some said “You don’t understand, calling someone bald back then was horrible.” or “You need to realize these children were heretics and needed to die so their seed didn’t spread.”

Reading more, he decided that he didn't like the answers offered because they did not support sin. Eventually, he began to believe the atheist lies.

I would see these same Christians publicly calling my other friends “abominations” for being gay. The pastors making millions with feel-good sermons and theatrics, the abortion clinics being bombed, children dying because their parents insist on using faith healing, the barbarism of middle eastern Islam, the list goes on…. all of this cruelty justified by each particular sect in the name of their god’s love. Who’s god? Religion’s bad attributes began outweighing it’s good.

Finally he's admitted his lie. He's not a Christian, and was never Saved™. He has been lying to himself and to God and to his friends and family, because that's what atheists do. They lie. To everyone. Any time they can.
