That statement can be taken in two ways: you can mean that you believe we deserve to go to Heaven, but we won't due to God not existing OR that you believe we deserve something horrible.

From the context, the latter is the more obvious explanation. Perhaps you can elaborate on what you feel we deserve exactly for following God.

No, it's because Eve plucked the apple from the tree after God told her not to do it. Punishment goes down many generations. On a Christian forum, you can expect the prevailing mindset to be that the Bible is right.

Secular law inherently has only a very limited bearing on moral code. Otherwise freedom of speech or freedom of religion would be impossible.

Thank you for this enlightening thread, Cranky Old Man! I have always been deeply disturbed by this Minecraft game, and I am glad that my intuition was guided by the Lord Jesus Christ. The Biblical account and condemnation of this "game" is uncanny.

However, I respond because I am crisis. I know someone who for many years was a good friend to me, and also a good Christian young man. His very name is derived from Christ, and his worship was unmatched. Lately we have grown apart. I've told the children not to do what he has done. He lives a life of sin and misery. Recently I took a mission to his home to try to put him back on the path, and I took a glace at his computer. This Minecraft game was the first icon I saw. Needless to say, I left immediately.

I believe that he is too far gone for me to handle by myself. His sin has been caused by Minecraft, and it has consumed and ruined a good Christian's life. Does anyone have any suggestions of what can be done?
