I think it to be a tad unreasonable to request me to read over a hundred pages of one thread when my request beseeches a relatively small answer. Also, if it has already been answered, then should it not be much easier to reiterate?

Also, I apologise if I'm not quite following the protocol for this forum, but I was shown this particular thread by a friend. I only intend to post in this thread; I think such an introduction and integration would be unnecessary.

Lastly, I do not intend to flame or otherwise offend other people. I just want to get to the bottom of why this community has such hatred against such an innocent game.

We have had dozens of supposed Christians in this thread completely ignorant what the Bible says about anything. Having read through many pages of the thread, I have not seen an adequate rebuttal. So I'll make mine.

Minecraft is not really a video game.

It certainly is, according to the definition of a video game:

- any of various games played using a microcomputer with a keyboard and often joysticks to manipulate changes or respond to the action or questions on the screen.

Minecraft is a game played on a computer with a keyboard. It is a video game.

It is amazingly much worse than that.

This statement implies that video games are bad. This is not necessarily true.

It is as if Satan, Second Life and The Sims all had a huge sex orgy and Minecraft was the bastard child that came out of it.

Let's break this down:

Satan represents all things evil.
Second Life is a role playing game which allows for social interaction.
The Sims is another role playing game which allows for social interaction.

Minecraft is not evil and isn't a role-playing game. How could it be a combination of those three? It does allow for social interaction, but that is a feature shared by thousands of games.

They even have a specific variant called "Lava Survival" in which children falsely learn it is possible to escape from Hell!

Lava Survival has no intended biblical or theological associations. It is only you who believes that children "learn to escape from hell" or that the developers of Minecraft had any biblical intentions behind the game mode.

I am an avid on line game player and a friend of mine told me about this thread, so I came here to read it for my self.

I did not read but the whole first page and the last page, well and a few random other posts here and there.

All I have to say is you you truly believe one word of the nonsense this thread is suggesting, you obviously are a very closed minded bigot.
